I don't think Terrence Crawford is physically strong enough, does not have the power or endurance to beat Floyd Mayweather Junior.

People keep mentioning Crawford's speed, but is Crawford anywhere near as fast as a peak Zab Judah? No.

Zab Judah maybe with a single punch also hits harder than Crawford, so really the speed and power of Crawford is not going to terrify Mayweather. The reason why I have mentioned Zab Judah is because 'He is a fighter who has elite level speed and power'. But of course throughout Mayweather's career, he has actually fought fighters who had more punching power than Judah 'Like Oscar De La Hoya & Shane Mosley'.

But what Crawford does have is skills, and variation in his offense. From distance he is not going to out box Mayweather 'Mayweather will out jab him, and if Crawford wants to trade single punches? Mayweather with a single punch, just had too much speed and accuracy'. There where many fighters who could produce combination punches with greater speed than Mayweather, but Mayweather's single punch speed was one of the best of his era 'Only really Roy Jones Junior's single punch speed was comparable'.

When I mention a attribute like physical strength, I am talking about the ability to ether force a fight or man handle another fighter up close. One of Floyd Mayweather Junior's most underrated attributes was his physical strength, he was never really ever pushed about even by fighters who out weighed him by 20 pounds on fight night. It was only really near the end of his career, where his strength began to not be as effective 'The first Maidana fight and for sure the rematch highlighted this'.

So overall, maybe Terrence Crawford would survive the full 12 rounds. But I don't think he would beat Floyd Mayweather. Depending on which version of Mayweather he faces, he is ether going to be out pointed over 12 rounds or stopped late in the fight'.

Note: I would say that Mayweather who fought Miguel Cotto & Shane Mosley would stop Terrence Crawford between rounds 9-12.

I think his walk around weight is probably 20 pounds heavier than Floyd's. I give Floyd a lot of credit - I think he fought very close to his weigh in weight a lot of times, during his WW days and up.

Basically I think Crawford walks around close to 180. I think Floyd walks around close to 160. I don't think Floyd fought too many guys as big as Crawford.

Doesn’t mean a thing. It would boils down to timing, speed, and accuracy. Floyd was superior in all of those categories. Floyd was better at nullify an opponent’s best weapon by beating them to the punch. Crawford is good at countering, but he usually takes longer to get into his rhythm and tend to get into exchanges to find success. Floyd was just simply too consistent at landing his shots once he finds several openings. As good as Crawford is, he’s only consistent at following through once he hurts his opponent. You rarely see him dominate a round by picking an opponent apart while being defensively responsible at the same time. I just don’t see any scenario of Crawford beating a prime Floyd.

Floyd is too quick and about 3 levels above Porter, Floyd is such a hard style to beat by a boxer, TC is not a brawler he likes to box and Floyd would just play touch football all night.

Its all about the styles and Floyds movement would be huge problems for TC who needs to set.
