Meh, he’s going to be 35, prime has come and gone. Still want to see him fight Spence before he gets a day older, but after that it MIGHT be a wrap.

It was just the WBA and then the WBC came in during the early 60s. I feel that 2 is too many and then the IBF in the early 80s and then the WBO which no one ever took serious until DLH got a gift against Sturm. I've been stating this for year nd RC just did a video on it yesterday.
Sadly it’s never going to happen unless boxing was under one big commission, and it’s too far gone for that. Otherwise you’re expecting belt organisations to volunteer to close their business, why would they?

boxing is such a weird fragmented sport. No one overall governing body overseeing it, just a load of fragmented businesses doing deals with each other, or not.

Nahhh, Thurman is washed up and not worth the time. Old Pac took him out too.

I agree. I know it will never happen because they are making too much money. I just couldn't see myself as a fighter paying $150k of my $5 million purse just to call myself a champion. And that's just for one sanctioning body. What if you're a unified champ? haha.

For Spence and Ugas? Nah. Did Spence and Ugas sign with Top Rank to fight Crawford? Nope.

Crawford will do the Canelo thing. See who offers him what on a fight by fight basis.
Doubtful…. Canelo is plans to play at cruiser. Only fight for Crawford is Spence and he wins that one it he can’t beat that kid Ennis.

the problem is, the fighters that benefit from being free agents are the ones who have big drawing power, I.e Canelo. Anyone will work with him because you won’t lose money.

if you’re signed with a promoter with a broadcaster, they need to recoup money and whatnot, so they have to make fights for you, it’s the only way their business works.

If you’re a free agent that doesn’t generate huge money, the broadcasters and promoters likely won’t take a big risk on you for single fight deals and you can end up very inactive unless you land mega fights certain of making big profits

Very good comment in it's entirety.

As much as I like him, Regis Prograis came to mind with your comment (in bold) here. Had DAZN not been spending like a drunken sailor, Mikey Garcia would have been in the same boat as Regis. Hopefully Prograis can find some fights with Parabellum.

Hopefully he stays a free agent if he leaves top rank. Last thing I want to see is him sign to PBC and have to fight Thurman and Garcia first for some marination bull****.

Keith has always done good ratings and he’s the kind of name that Crawford wants on his resume. Thurman is long in the tooth and should be a relative easy W as well on paper. Crawford-Thurman is a no brainer for all parties.

Spence-Crawford is the megafihjt but I bet some extensive negotiations are gonna he required to her that done. It ain’t gonna be next.

Maybe we get Spence vs Ugas and Crawford vs Thurman next.

With the winners facing each other.
