Porter did everything he could in the sport is a true statement

Spence cowering away from the arena last night tells a tale

If porter watched spence get kod in 10 last night you know he'd be sticking around to challenge crawford for his ne t fight that's something we can all agree on
I did defend the Makabu fight and would defend it again. I am a fan of Canelo but that’s irrelevant. I call a spade a spade.

Except Porter didn’t do everything in the sport or even close, it is literally the opposite of a true statement; It’s a false statement. He was a solid, top 5-10 WW of this era and that’s it, nothing more.

      My thoughts.

Porters been around for awhile now. I think he had high ambitions and probably had dreams of winning against the top dog in the welterweight division so he can say that he beat the best that he could beat. I think he realized after this, that he has already reached his ceiling and his best, simply wasn’t good enough. Think about it. He tried against the top dog in the welterweight division 3 times and he lost every time. Danny Garcia is probably his best win.

Shame because he is a balls to the wall type of boxer. He’s not the sharpest, cleanest, strongest, or the fastest guy out there, but he always gave a great effort and he’s usually in entertaining bouts and a tough out for everyone. It wasn’t an easy night for Crawford. Wasn’t an easy night for Spence either, and it definitely wasn’t and easy night for Thurman.

Porter shouldn't retire. He should fire his dad for saying that BS in front of millions of ppl and putting him down publicly after just getting knocked out. That was the last thing he should have said. That was some egotisical sucker sh... Porter should hire another trainer and make a comeback just to prove a point how disrespectful that was. But I know he won't, because he's so loyal to his dad.

            You gotta like Shawn.
Always a tough fight for anyone.
His fight with Thurman is a classic.
Plus he's got the Django look going on.

Salute to "Showtime" Shawn Porter! You've fought them all, and gave it your best, and your best just wasn't good enough! I pray you can forgive your Father, and have Happy Holidays with your family! 100%

I don’t get all of the hate for Porter

the Brook, Thurman and Spence fights were all either way fights

Crawford is the only fighter to beat him convincingly. That’s a pretty solid resume

What Top Rank and PBC had yet another rematch clause in place again, that'll have to be ignored by a lot of people here. ssssh don't tell anyone.

He probably should have left his Dad after the Thurman fight! I always thought that Porter should have sought help from Mike Tyson! He had the frame and athleticism to mimic his style, if he was taught properly!
