If he wants to be the next GGG, he can’t have brittle hands. You can’t have your hand breaking in fights if you want to be a big puncher.
At the same time, you really can’t even control that. Injuring your hand or wrist, it happens, and it’s very painful, and your punch will never be at 100% after that, and your hand/wrist will always be prone after it happens once. Mayweather, Calzaghe, Malignaggi to name a few, after breaking their hand, their punch was never 100%.
I broke my hand once, after hitting a sparring partner on the top of his head. I was not aiming there, he moved and I got the top of his head. It was PAINFUL, lots of pain. It healed eventually, I kept sparring, but in every sparring match it would get hurt again. It was never the same. I imagine as an amateur or pro, that is a hard injury to overcome. It really shows how good Mayweather and Calzaghe were.
I think his chin or the way he eats a punch reminds me of ggg. And I think if he threw in combination more he would lessen the chance breaking his hand loading up with 1 big punch.
