If he beats Porter in dominating style, then there's no need to fight another PBC fighter.

I'd like to see him against Josh Taylor next. Which is easier to make if Taylor wants it.

He gets credit but how much? That's one legit top 147 fight

Stop with the hypothetical BS. Porter is still a top quality fighter. No excuses.

Nah he needs to fight Spence. Crawford should sign with PBC after this fight. Far better options for him at 147.

All depends on how he beats Porter. He needs to get credit for it no matter what. Porter will be his first high level opponent at 147 who isn’t a shell of his former shelf. I do think Crawford can KO Porter, but I don’t know if it will happen. I wouldn’t place that bet as betting man. Overall, I got Crawford winning a 8-4 type of fight. Porter is going to be walking into hooks and uppercuts all night, he might possibly get stopped.

I used to give Crawford a hard time a few years back, not because I thought he wasn't talented but being a Lomachenko fan the Loma-Crawford talks back then used to heat up quite a bit, but I always felt Crawford was super talented though. His resume doesn't match his talents but it's also not as bad as some people make it out to be.
I used to think Crawford-Spence was 50-50 but I think Spence is not the same anymore; I might actually pick Crawford big in that fight now. Well, let's how Spence looks before we go too crazy.

Honestly, I think the only 2 threats for Crawford in the near future at Welterweight are Vergil Ortiz and Jaron Ennis. Those guys are huge Welterweights and Crawford won't get any younger.
I always felt Crawford's style would age well, so he may still be really good into his late 30s but that's something we will have to analyze fight by fight. Obviously he won't be peak forever, but I think he can still beat the majority of guys around his division even at an older age.
I really can't see Josh Taylor, Teofimo Lopez, Devin Haney, Shakur Stevenson, or anybody that could move up 147 beating Crawford unless age catches up to Bud.
That's how talented I think Crawford is. I think only Ortiz or Ennis may get him and that's because those guys are big Welters.

Before I say too much let's see how he performs today though. On paper this may be the best opponent he's faced.

                I never said otherwise.

                BUT...fact remains.

If Crawford loses, he will have lost to a COVID patient. Who NSB says loses every time he steps up. Which means Crawford wasn't a step up.

That's why this fight is more about Crawford proving out than Porter. We know what Porter is. We don't know what Crawford is really about.

This might end up being Crawford as the next version of Michael Spinks - or Cory Spinks - for all we know.

Josh Taylor is the real deal doe. You'll soon see.
Skill plus mental toughness. He's got it.

What did I tell you? The uppercut started it all.
