David Benavidez must fight Beterbiev or Bivol before fighting Canelo

He should bring something to the table and not be the opponent that snorted coke, missed weight at the scales, lost his belt twice and fought bums on his way to fight Canelo.

Benavidez can’t keep getting away cherrypicking and fighting bums in a catchweight.

He fought Angulo at a catchweight of 171lbs

He fought Kyrone Davis at a catchweight of 169lbs

Might as well create a Davidweight division ffs

I agree. Set up a fight with Bivol or Beterbiev in or around May. Get a belt and he'd have more leverage and better justification for the Canelo fight to be made.

Bumavidez hasn't beaten anyone worth a damn his entire career, he's no draw and has no belt or anything to leverage a fight with Canelo . It won't be a good win for Canelo. The guy struggled with Gavril and washed up Anthony Dirrel. He is chubby and undisciplined. His skill set isn't very good either. I see him as an easy win for Canelo.

The same guys that say Canelo is ducking him will turn around and trash the win if Canelo beats him. Canelo is now getting treated the same way Floyd was. He's in a no win situation where he's ducking and cherry picking everyone by his haters. He could beat Usyk along with Fury and still be ducking some bum they deem as the next boogie man.

I think that’s fair. None of these guys ever fight each other.

none of them have even fought the guys Canelo took the belts from yet some fools keep acting like Canelo is the one ducking

Canelo is never going back to 160, so I'm thinking that Benevidez should be fighting Andrade or Charlo. None of those guys should get a shot till he has beaten at least one of the other 2. I don't see the need for Benevidez to beat a 175 pound fighter to land a 168 pound fight.

I've been saying this also and I think Bivol is the ticket to secure a fight with Canelo. Leave beterbiev for for Canelo.

Ive been saying something similar. Theres nothing at 168 for Benavidez. He could fight early next year at LHW then plan another around Cinco de Mayo. By the end of 2022 he should be challenging for a lhw title.
