I don't think this is easy as people say. Canelo already looks like he lacks power at Super Middle. And that iron chin won't be as much use against a Crusierweight. Canelo used to box but he barely throws a jab in recent fights. Also I don't get what that guy above is saying : Mukabu looks much bigger than Canelo in that video!

He's not a middleweight. Bellew ended up going up to HW. It's a dumb comparison

Nothing to defend imo. Canelo is a relatively small SMW and he's trying his hand +32lbs north against one of the champions on the division.

I don't see any other fighter doing anything like this. Charlo, golovkin, andrade, won't go to 168 -unless it's for canelo $$$. Benevidez I'd challenging any of the light heavies or cruisers for a title shot.

The challenge looks impressive on paper, but then you realise that Makabu is not the best cruiserweight, in a weak division. There's no Usyk there anymore.

For Canelo, it's a kinda easy fight, which he might say is deserved after taking on Saunders and Plant, who were advertised as tricky unbeaten boxers before he fought them. They were somewhat slick although not exactly Floyd or Whitaker level.

We all now know the toughest opponent for Canelo in the super middleweight division is Benavidez. And at the light heavyweights, Beterbiev.
You don't know boxing if you think cruiser is a weak division. You only say that because those guys aren't American or on the big stage. It's just sandwiched between two glamor classes in lightHW and heavyweight. It's the same bum wrap that a lot of the lower weight classes get.

He earned his shot when Canelo realized he could make history with the fight, and I'm not sure you know what incel means, nor how to use it properly. Also, you talk like you have a broomstick shoved up your @$$

Thinking how much Clenbuterol is paying Makabu to lose the fight...

Agree, but you're using the word "disclaimer" incorrectly.

And guess what Charlo will be seating around waiting for Canelo or schedule another bum to fight instead of fighting Benavidez. Say what u want about the fight, sure he could move to challenge Beterbiev but still he will be fighting the bigger man in a new weight class.

The great PAC went to fight two undefeated WW’s that nobody had ever heard of; Chris Algieri and Jeff Horn. He also fought the weakest Jr Middle Weight at a catchweight of 150 **Margarito) and one weak opponent at 135 (David Diaz) to grab a belt as well as one time at 140 against Hatton.
So, it’s been done before I suppose.
Pac, Mayweather, and pretty much every famous fighter. Sleight of hand tricks can be many different things (catch weights, fighting questionable belt holders, paying off the other fighter so that you can gain an advantage, ring size that favours your style, weighing in over the weight limit, always fighting in your own backyard with refs and judges that will favour you and many, many more tricks of the trade. Greatness is partly a manufactured trick. If you’re the A side and the money man you’re going to take advantage of your privilege. Mayweather and Pacquiao aren’t the only ones to do it, but they are two notable, recent fighters that took advantage of their popularity and status.
