LAS VEGAS - Bob Arum understood the WBC's decision at its annual convention earlier this week to refrain from making Dillian Whyte the mandatory challenger for Tyson Fury's heavyweight championship due to the active lawsuit Whyte filed against the WBC regarding his mandatory status in June 2020.

This would be great news! Make the fight. I got Tyson Fury winning by stoppage in the later rounds.

Best fight Fury can realistically make right now. Who else is there available? Helenius?

Joe Joyce would give Fury a harder fight and he hasn't be KO'd like Whyte has just two fights ago. He's a big strong unbeaten engine. All this talk from the side of Whytes mouth doesn't make any sense .He already refused £4 m to challenge Joshua for the titles and since being 'sparked' again ******ly thinks this has raised his stock .He's starting to sound like Amir Khan.

Man, this is exciting talk. As a guy who wants to see Fury in with a top HW not named Wilder, Whyte is a fantastic attraction. I am not against Joyce either as a back-up plan, But Whyte and Fury? Those press conferences alone might be better than the fight itself. So. Much. Potential. Fun.

Any of you guys betting men? Here’s a tip- bet your house and everything you own on Tyson- Whyte is a ducker, over rated more than anyone other than AJ, has no chin, and the only thing he has going for him is a big mouth which tricks those without boxing knowledge into thinking he can fight

I have a pretty good idea about what HWs can fight & Whyte is a damn good fighter. Just because a guy gets dropped or KO’d doesn’t mean he has a bad chin. So Pretty much every HW has no chin in your mind since the only HWs who fought anyone with a pulse since i started watching in the late 80s is Vitali Klitschko & Oliver McCall. Vitali only fought 3 huge punchers in Peter, Sanders & Lewis. Whyte has some good wins on his resume. You sound like a genius with more boxing knowledge than anyone on this site…

Would be a very exciting fight indeed! Whyte would be up for challenging the new KRONK Sugar Substitute MMA format…. MAKE IT HAPPEN!…. Fury’s unashamed boldness with his leaning & holding/strikes would either discombobulate Whyte to no end, or bring Whytes rude bwoy arrogance to the point of lashing out with reckless abandon!…..I’m wanting to see Fury mix it up with someone gangsta & tough enough to not just use boxing in a boxing sanctioned match…..Whytes endurance would have to be on point for the inevitable grappling.

Good to hear, best available fight to currently be made in the uk. People criticise Whyte for turning down the £4m payday vs Joshua but what im gathering mose dont know is he turned it down based on the rematch clause which stated even if he won the rematch would have the same split as the 1st fight, clearly heavily favoring Joshua at 70/30. Had they budged to 50.50 rematch i rekon that fight could have been made. I think Whytes best chance was Joshua. I say Wilder sparks him and fury toys with him like he did Chisora and then stops or ko's him late on. Imo

If contract ever arrives, Whyte won't sign it. He's a serial ducker, just like when AJ title fight contract arrived.
