How good is Makabu?

Hes a very small CW but packs decent power, he is prime for the pickings tho, he has taken huge amounts of punishment over the past couple of years, he's literally been out on his feet multiple times against Kudra, Papin & Cieslak but has this weird drunken master style where he recovers quickly but looks drunk in most of his fights.
Hence why he has been chosen.. and not an actual top Cruiser like Briedis or the KO dr...

Not very good. Usyk and Gassiev cleaned out the division. After Usyk won the final they both moved up. Makabu picked vacant title.

He’s not very good. He carries good power.

he has awful boxing coordination, especially his feet. Hasn’t got the best chin and poor recovery from shots. Just really not a good boxer.

But he has power and heart to keep trying if he can.

He’s best known by getting smashed by Bellew in 3 rounds and then knocked out cold. As soon as Bellew decided to put it on him, he folded and then got knocked out.

hes pretty good but the beneficiary of many of the best cruisers leaving the division and the rest fighting in the wbss cruiserweight tournament which left him on the sidelines to prosper and move up the rankings as they beat each other.

Pretty much this. Solid, but he woulda lost pretty comprehensively against the likes of Usyk, Breidis, Dorticos or Gassiev. Decentish wins over Mchunu, Papin and Cieslek though... and he bounced Bellew off the canvas if that's worth anything.

Makabu vs cieslak was my favourite fight of the year.
They fought somewhere in congo in a very poorly put together venue. In a park with plastic chairs.

Cieslak didnt receive his money on time and was threatening to pull out, then the promoter came by with a bag of cash lol.

During the fight they ended rounds prematurely when makabu was hurt and let rounds go significantly longer when cieslak was hurt.

big slow and useless, fought one fighter that anyones heard of and got stopped in 3 rounds, seemed to be rocked every time he got hit. canelo is a 1/7 favourite for a reason, if it was mission impossible like canelo fans are making out why is he such a heavy favourite against this supposed cruiserweight killer
