Oddly enough, I think Buds fight style is the perfect villain but hes personality dont fit it. Also in your video you said promoters alone cant sell a fight which I agree! But where does a fighters manager come into play? Shouldnt their managers be looking for any and every opportunity for their fighter to be in the limelight?

There are so many outlets for nobodies to become famous these days, seems like boxing managers and promoters are stuck in Bedrock.
He doesn't have to play the villian. He has to have a CHARACTER. It doesn't matter what character, he needs one.

You know it's bad when F'n Canelo is more interesting to watch interview than Crawford when that dude barely spoke English 3 years ago.

Say SOMETHING more than "we'll see Saturday night".

Here's Floyd talking about the need to do it to build yourself when you're young and unproven. Crawford is young(ish) and unproven. He's not Floyd. He's not close and never will be at this rate.

Floyd wasn't getting paydays until he turnt up. In his case, he was inspired by pro wrestling too and decided to become a heel.

But the point is you have to SELL your character to the fans or they won't dial in. Whether it's to cheer you or see you lose, you have to get them engaged with something.

Here's when Floyd was turnt up, telling the truth but cutting a promo to sell the fight. Even Gatti, slurring as he was, sold better than Crawford.

Terence is an herb compared to Floyd

Floyd had opinions that go against the grain

Floyd was direct about wanting to fight Tsyzu ODLH Mosley and other great fighters

Terence does not care at all

        What's your prediction?

Mine is Bud KO's Porter in Rd. 7
I noticed the same thing. Bud’s demeanor was a bit like Bill Belichick’s Imo.

PS: I’m rolling with Porter by Decision.

I saw him today on Max Kellermans show This Just In (I actually like that show. First Take shouldn't have gotten rid of Max)

Yeah, Bud was pretty boring. I think he wins a decision but I'm rooting for Shawn.

Crawford strikes me as the quiet type, who keeps himself guarded in the public eye. Not good for promoting himself. That said, I don't think he will KO Porter. He'll win a close decision.

Well thatll have to be done through publicity. Bud needs to go on a reality show or 2. Like that 1 where they eat hot wings or dancing with the stars or something like that. Hell even going on WWE or AEW.
                Well said.
Publicity, good ideas but that is precisely the problem. He does none of that nor does he even have the personality to remotely fit into any of that.
Well, i guess Bud is just Bud, haha!

The Bud in the classic Spence video where they're talking back and fourth would def help hype his fights

Not sure if he had been sipping that night, but that video is hilarious and awesome . Great energy

Crawford's biggest weakness is his personality, but I give him credit for that, he isn't fake and trying to put on a circus act for the fans like Conor McGregor would.

This is a sport, not a reality TV show, but I understand what people are getting at, you need to be able to sell a fight to make more money. Luckily for me as a boxing fan, I do not give a damn about how much a boxer or a promoter makes, I am here to watch people fight.
