Sounds a bit crazy and far reaching, yes, but Canelo Alvarez's next rumble has just been approved by the World Boxing Council to be against heavy-punching WBC cruiserweight world champion Ilunga Makabu (28-2, 25 KO's).

I really don't see the big deal. Canelo proved himself at 160, he fought the so called Boogeyman in GGG( Lost the first fight mind you but i hate Sanchez so i'm not complaining) campaigned at 168 for a bit went up and fought the weakest champion at light heavyweight which was Kovalev at the time. I'm not hating thats a smart move. Then came back down to 168 and became the undisputed king in that division. Now he has his sight set at taking on another so called weaker champion 2 weight classes above his and its a crime? no one can beat him in and around his weight class. Not Charlo and definitely not Benavidez
Look at all these fighters flip flopping weight divisions to try and get a belt and they are not even king in their own division. IF Canelo did that then i would be vilifying him. You have 4 weight champions walking around like they own the joint , yet they don't even let their hands go fight night

What does Vegas say about this? I have not looked into the Moneyline, but I think the casinos are going to shortly tell the public that Culero has it in the bag.

After that, it's back to light-heavy against Antonio Tarver.

"You got any excuses tonight, Canelo?"

Canelo Alvarez -1200 favorite / Ilunga Makabu +600 underdog. Compare those odds with these : Canelo at - 200 favorite to win or Miguel Cotto +160. And these Canelo ****-riders want to tell me that beating Makapoop is something great?

Tell me Clenelo is ducking Benavidez without telling me he’s ducking Benavidez.
