This is Crawford's best opponent to date, not just WW. All that being said, Crawford should win, Porter has a ton of miles on him.

Exactly my point. This is Crawford's best opponent to date ??? And Crawford is considered by some as a " pound for pound " champ ? It's a farce. Your right. I agree with you. This IS Crawford's best opponent to date. It's a shame. He's 35 and fighting his best opponent yet. And one that won't win . What will be interesting is, will he stop Porter ? . I'll consider that impressive. But still not making him a pound for pound king. Now, stop Spence? He'd automatically go down as a great. People will remember him . Right now? He won't be remembered for anything. Again, I don't know who's fault this is, and I don't care. The finger pointing gets this situation nowhere. Bottom line, Crawford has a title with his name in it. A belt with his name in it. Like a zillion others have and had. But he's not going down as a " great " until he fights someone close to resembling a great. Him and Spence not fighting is a travesty for boxing and boxing fans.

Crawford has no one but himself to blame. After his contract was up with Top Rank; He should have signed with the PBC who holds every major belt at welterweight save for the WBO and most of the top contenders in that weight division as well.

We shouldn`t be surprised if Porter wins. He is two time world champ.

            Stop.

Peterson, Mathhysse, Provodnikov, Díaz, Postol, Molina Jr, all were b class fighters.

Crawford resume is garbage, pure garbage.

He has 34 years old, and his biggest wins are a shot Gamboa and Postol.

Porter is a B class fighter.

He lost against all the good fighters he fought.

We should be surprised if he won.

Crawford made the decision to sign and stay with Top Rank during his prime years.
He’s responsible for his career choices. Now he’s approaching mid 30’s and his first notable fight is against a gatekeeper at welterweight who hasn’t fought in 15 months.

Nah not, danny Garcia would be also one of the best Crawford`s wins. Crawford`s record is a crap.

Crawford has no one to blame but himself. Hiding behind negotiations. Sometimes you got to take the short end of the stick, succeed and then things open up, like an investment.

He has this self evaluation that he is worth more than actually people want to pay for. He talks about himself in the third person and talks how great he is but yet has to prove it in the ring. So the article props his solid wins against a couple of C+ fighters and a B fighter but again there is no marquee name.

Pernell Whitaker used to talk like Crawford but at least early and through out his career he faced a high level of opposition and was actually avoided by some.

What a pathetic attempt at a puff piece. Fact is, Crawford resume is worse in reality than on paper, as his wins have aged horribly, as fighters he beat all have lost to many other fighters, some in more devastating fashion. Seeing Regis Prograis destroy Indongo one round quicker, postol losing to a young Taylor coming up, and Ramirez. If you want to play the whataboutism game, then what about Danny Garcia, who all but CLEANED OUT 140LBS, and beat a prime mathyssye and then dropped the belts which Crawford, Postol and Indongo picked up as vacant belts? Why didn't Crawford stick around for Prograis who was his mando and hastily go to get that wbo trinket off of Horn who cheated Manny?

Crawford is the most overrated fighter ever to be considered top pound for pound. If anything, it's a biased American press hoping to throw a bone to a fanbase desperately starved for an identity in boxing since Floyd Mayweather. Truth is, the boxing world has far surpassed this fighter demographic, especially at the heavier weights as Pauli Malinaggi got fired over for saying, and vindicated by Usyk and Fury's dominate wins, among others. The network was afraid Malignaggi would turn away their inner city clueless fanbase that thinks they are significant in boxing like its 1988 again lol. They couldn't be more delusional as to who is running boxing today.. Look at 160lbs through heavyweight and see who the alpha fighters are. That is why the boxing establishment in America was so desperate to prop up Crawford. Joke.
