  • Has anyone else noticed how strange it is that Canelo's punch power has suddenly shot through the roof? At 164lbs he fought Chavez Jr and couldn't put a dent in him... he BATTERED him for every second of every round but not a single cut or knockdown.

Now suddenly he is detaching biceps from arms, breaking orbital bones and carries concussive power which he never had before. Hmmmm...

      1) Which fighters had catch-weight disadvantages - Angulo, Lara, Kirkland, Cotto and Khan (5 in a row all at 155lbs - that is ridiculous) before Chavez Jr at 164lbs.

      2) Judges may not be his fault but if fully competent judges were in place maybe his record would be 54-4-1 or 55-3-2 and he wouldn't be the current cash cow of boxing.

      3) A Mexican sanctioning body the WBC elevated the amount of clenbuterol needed to pop dirty essentially allowing whichever method of use that produced trace amounts to be swept under the carpet. You only have to look at how Mauricio Sulaiman handled oscar valdez's recent dirty test to realise that he will protect all Mexican Reynoso fighters no matter how much the boxing world is offended.

      4) Canelo avoided both Charlo's at 154lbs as well Andrade, at 160lbs he should've faced a prime 33 year old Golovkin but ducked, stalled and then fought him at 35 and 36 years of age respectively, he avoided both mandatories at 160lbs in the form of Jermall Charlo and Derevyanchenko, at 168lbs it looks as though he is running away from WBC mandatory David Benevidez, and at 175lbs it looks as though he wants no smoke with the unbeaten champions there, Bivol and Beterbiev, the latter of which has a 100% knockout rate and is a unified champion.

      5) The favourable treatment he is getting from the WBC is a new stroke for Canelo and has never been done before for any other A side. Never before has a concept such as "franchise champion" been used to protect a a fighter from facing a mandatory. Although it was also used in the lightweight division, make no mistake, the original concept was drawn up with Canelo in mind. Also the WBC is essentially letting him fight at a catch-weight of 190lbs - a comfortable fighting weight for him, for the cruiserweight title. The WB0, WBA and IBF all acknowledge the cruiserweight limit to be 200lbs but the WBC have especially lowered it to suit Canelo.

wait, wait, wait, Angulo, Lara, Kirkland, Cotto and Khan? LMAO You serious? They were all 154lb fighters or below! NONE were 160 lb fighters that had to come down. They weren't weight drained. Weight draining an opponent is where the disadvantages come. What Pacquiao did with Cotto, for example, making him come down to 145 instead of 147, that's a weight disadvantage. Canelo had them go UP 1 pound. How the hell is that a disadvantage? Do you know anything about cutting weight the day of the weigh in, it hurts a fighter more to cut more weight before the weigh in. If he had gotten Golovkin, a career 160lber to fight at 155, then you'd have an argument, but this? It's whining.

As far as Cotto is concerned, Cotto requested their MW fight to be at that weight. He was the A-side, it was his call.

I'm not even going to even bother to read and respond to the rest, it's just going to be more hate filled nonsense. Good day.

          Not really

Chavez for being a clown had his daddy’s chin.

Canelo is battering guys not really knocking them out cold. Different kind of force.

What you should be suspect about is Wilder and Fury two notorious cheats.

If it's so easy how come no other SMW is jumping up 32 lbs to fight him? why don't they cherry-pick that belt? Oh, wait that's right they are fightin the real hard fights like Kyrone Davis and Ronald Ellis. They would never tarnish their great resume moving up 2 weight classes to fight a sitting world champion after becoming undisputed in an entire division in 11 months.

Clowns like you fall for his crap and are Reynoso's wet dream! He is not moving up 2 weight divisions he is moving up to a 190lbs catch-weight and bringing down Makabu with him who will almost certainly be disadvantaged and fighting with a reduced punch resistance. open up your eyes and see it for what it really is instead of giving Canelo a virtual rim job.

                • It's funny how triggered people are about him taking on a paper champ.

And it's even funnier how people are rallying to the defense with all kinds of excuses because they love Canelo.

Yes. He had the A and B sample. This is done to establish a control and to make sure that the test wasn't a one off. I mean look at you. You don't even know what the **** you're talking about.

So what? What does that matter? I told you that you can miss taking the test twice with no repercussions. And if you travel somewhere, you think that they are going to send someone out to wherever you go?

There is no proof that the meat there was contaminated. That's one. However, lets just say that he did eat meat contaminated with clenbuterol. That occurred on the 2nd of February, 2018. That's when he ate with Clinton at that restaurant. Clenbuterol, at dosing levels—the levels that one would use to cheat—takes no more than 14 days to clear the system. According to PubMed and other medical journals, you can't test for clenbuterol after two weeks. The drug clears the system. Alvarez, however, tested positive on the 5th of March—A WHOLE ****ING MONTH LATER. And that's after he received a micro dose from contaminated meat!

You cannot win an argument with me. I will crush you every time and remind everyone in the forum how ****** you are as well as how much of a Canelo butt boy you are.

Hahaha! For what it's worth, I think that's impossible. And I'm not even sure how you'd prove that, to be honest. However, just make a claim like that on the Internet actually verifies my accusation that your mom is still doing your laundry.
                    Do you have many friends?

How come you completely ducked my question? And as far as we know right now, which is nothing might I add, there is no catchweight, you're just assuming there is to make excuses. This fight might not even happen yet you probably have already typed out your 5 page paper on how Makabu got robbed on the cards. We get it, you don't like Canelo, and that's fine but give credit where credit is due when you see greatness. The man just when undisputed; he earned his damn break. And let's hear your response to my actual first question rather than you ducking it completely.
