How much time does he have before fans start getting tired of the easy touches?
I don’t care to hear about how good his past opponents supposedly are, or how he destroyed them, or about boxing politics holding him back.
Im asking how long can Mayweather Promotions keep putting up the PPV before they start to see the decline in purchases, assuming his opposition remains at the same caliber?
He’s 27, and imo has 4 years left of prime in him. I consider 31 to be when the slow decline begins…just my opinion.
Me personally? I think he has until he’s 30 years old before his fans start bypassing his PPV and stop listening to Nostril Ellerbe’s excuses. After 30 the pressure will be on to deliver.
You don’t want another Vargas against Tito or Canelo against Mayweather, throwing them into the fire at such a young age….but then you don’t want another Crawford. Where Crawford has let his entire career go by without enough names on his resume to have a legacy behind him.
Every fighter I’ve ever been a fan of, there is that moment that you know is coming, when he’s about to face a legit opponent for the first time, and that’s the glorious moment because you believe in him, and can’t wait to see him succeed so you can celebrate alongside them.
