Really? I think that ship has not only sailed, a tugboat has it out to the distant horizon in the middle of the uncharted ocean. I believe Alvarez is proving more by not fighting Trip G at this point ("He is beneath me, I will not waste my time with a has been who insulted me and I defeated already") than giving him a third match. Alvarez is free agent calling his own shots and I do not think Golovkin is even a small thought anymore to him.

Trip G may have to settle for keeping his brand alive by fighting the other 160 options and hope he has enough left in the tank to beat most. Munguia is a good option, a young fighter entering his prime who has shown a willingness to trade leather and help sell fights. Baring a loss and rematch situation against Murata, Munguia looks like a winner for a good payday.

If GGG wins in the fashion he used to 3 years ago, it will be too much money for Canelo to walk away from! If he looks like he did vs. Dervy, then Canelo will go elsewhere!

It's not like Munguia has one fight left in his career man. Charlo and Andrade can always fight each other too. That's a logical fight for them that never has gotten made, for like 10 years

He has pretty clearly been brought along slowly, but it's probably time to have him really step up soon. I actually rate him a little bit as a fighter. His team is going to want the GGG fight though instead of Andrade - makes the most money for them you would have to think.

I understand that, but if GGG looks good, I think he fights Canelo! I just hate when guys are in the #1 spot (Munguia # 1 w/ WBC and WBO) and don't take advantage of it!

I just think the way Golovkin disrespected Alvarez while he was suspended for PEDs has always been in the back of Alvarez's mind. He went overboard, even questioned his nationality, etc., then the whole "Mexican Style" bit, was a bit too much!
