Canelo is too good and too strong, you cant hurt this guy and he has great conditioning to go 12. His power maintains into the later rounds. Also if you do outbox him you are screwed on the scorecards, ggg damn near beat him in the first fight and barely got a draw.

only way i seen canelo losing is if he fights a huge guy a cruise or heavyweight who can hurt him, because nobody can hurt him from 160 to 175 pounds.

His greatness is off the charts when you have to dig around for a Light heavy or cruiser to beat him.

With more weight and muscle on Canelo, if he ever does make a permanent move, will look just like his reign at 168lbs.

He’s fun to watch and I’m here for the ride.

If I hadn’t seen the Kovalev fight I might agree. Canelo is not unbeatable.

a younger fully hydrated Kovalev, at least from what I saw, wins that fight. Maybe even the older version, without the hydration clause, but we’ll never know that.

I don’t think Canelo beating Beterbiev is by any means a sure thing. At 175, Canelo gives away a lot.

I can see him losing at light heavy. Even though he beat Kovalev to me it looked like he lost some speed. I think he’s perfect for 168 and I think that’s where he should campaign.

Beterbiev and Bivol are definitely challenging fights and ones I wouldn’t even feel are fair towards Canelo. Can’t see anybody beating him at 168 though. Boo Boo Andrade might be the only guy to have the style but he has yet to put himself in line for that fight by beating a meaningful opponent.

Has also to do with how "weak" the current landscape is, not just how good Canelo is. But that's not on Canelo that everybody is doing jack **** in the hopes to land a Canelo fight. Nobody is really experienced enough or really separated themselves from the rest of the pack by the time they get in the ring with him and it shows.

Good point. People think it’s a weak era, but IMO it’s because the rest of the guys aren’t fighting each other, building a name by winning those fights. They’re all stagnant or bum slaying.

There are no superstars to be made if they’re all just waiting for their payday Canelo fight.
