Is Andre Ward a great fighter?

I already stated why I made this thread was for the double standards.

Anyway Ward with the exception of Kovalev Ward only best good fighters not great and of course the Sergey fight has huge asterisk next to it.

Canelo has beaten great fighters Ward hasn’t that was my point. My Some folks can’t admit to that because it hurts they’re agenda.

You made this thread as a tit for tat response, you see it all the time on here. Instead of addressing things in one thread you get like 4 or 5 threads with the same people having the same argument.

Look at how he beat them though… Absolutely dominated Froch and Kessler. They were great performances, you can’t deny that.

There’s absolutely no double standards here. Both great fighters both have several impressive wins.

Was fan of Ward. Definitely good fighter but now, with passage of time, I think I have clearer view on him. Seems a little bit overrated. As I look at it now, number of his fights were controversial, especially Kovalev fights, which were supposed to be his claim to greatness.

he made like 6.5-7 for each kovalev fight.....he prob would have had his pay cut in half to fight either of bivol or beterbiev....not worth getting out of bed to take a pay cut for really tough fights...if those guys had been worth it im sure he would have taken up the task

Petty, silly thread made because someone asked about Canelo. Wish these type of posters stayed at their previous forums or on social media.

Beating HOFers isn’t the only mark of a great boxer. Ward had a great run of top tier opponents from Miranda to Kovalev, minus Shelby Pudwill.

Although none imo will make the hof, beating all of those men imo makes Ward a great boxer.

Canelo is also a great boxer.
