Yes, I think he was one of the greatest at the SMW and LHW level in boxing history.
He never lost in 32 matches, and he beat a very good Froch once and beat peak Kovalev twice (barely the first time, clearly the second time).

if there had been any real money fights left he would have stuck around....there werent any established names/money fights that could generate alot of interest....he prob would have been looking at taking paycuts to stay around and then fight guys like bivol and beterbiev....not worth it.....once you start making 6.5-7 mil paydays its hard to take a step back.....

bivol and beterbiev would have been really tough fights for him no doubt....but there wasnt enough interest in those guys and them facing ward...he prob would have had to cut his pay in half
So how many HOF did Ward beat?

What future HOF’ers should or could he have faced? Give me names?

He cleaned out 168 and then beat a dominant unified champion at 175 and retired undefeated as P4P #1. That sounds pretty great to me.

You tell me? Folks are discrediting Canelo saying he he’s beaten no future HOF yet praise Ward for his sketchy ass resume with arguably 1 or non future HOFs.

One He could have faced was GGG (future HOF) but didn’t. Don’t give me any excuses you either make the fight happen or not. He chose not to.

There isn’t any. Ward beat everybody he needed to. You’re the one questioning his resume, so give me some names??? All you’ve given me so far is a guy who never even fought in Ward’s weight class. It’s like saying Canelo should have made the Pac fight.

I’m one of the biggest Golovkin fans on here and even I’d admit the people behind GGG didn’t really fancy the Ward fight.

The reality is both Ward and Canelo have fought everybody they needed to, to become great. You and the other fanboys should just swerve this tit for tat bullsh**. As I said both great fighters, so just stop with the BS.

I already stated why I made this thread was for the double standards.

Anyway Ward beat with the exception of Kovalev only good fighters not great and of course the Sergey fight has huge asterisk next to it.

Canelo has beaten great fighters Ward hasn’t that was my point. My Some folks can’t admit to that because it hurts they’re agenda.
