I’m guessing you are referring to his interview with Kugan a week or so ago? I enjoyed that interview, had me rooting for him to beat Usyk. Shame Eddie didn’t listen to it considering he still wants to speak on Joshua’s behalf every 5 seconds!

when i see stuff like this, i like usyk's chances in the rematch.

For usyk, all he has to do is what he did last time and all he has to do is take some rest and get back with the same trainer he always had and they already anticipate that AJ will look to be more aggressive as that is his only chance at winning. If AJ did decide to box him from a distance it would be an easy night so the only strategy they need to counter is a more aggressive AJ.

Its almost mid november and AJ doesnt even know who will train him yet and he has to make that decision himself, nobody can even decide for him, so his brain isnt even on the actual fight yet, his brain is on judging and rating trainers and in cope mode telling himself how he got schooled by a cruiserweight was his last trainers fault not really his and a new trainer can fix it in the rematch.

AJ's solution for the Ruiz rematch was to just stick and move, but if AJ does that here he looses again. Last fight he fought scared afraid to get hit by usyk and usyk wobbled him multiple times, in the opening, mid and late rounds. If the fight was 1 minute longer AJ wouldnt have even seen the final bell he was slumming over on the ropes as it ended.

Teddy Atlas might be another good option to consider. If he wants to learn how to infight.

I agree with what he said and what you said to him

At this point a new trainer will not help him, He will get hit and go back to his old ways as all boxers do.

Yeah, but tbh, they’ve been trying to teach this dude that for years. You see occasional flashes of it, but he lacks the IQ to implement anything in the right situations and for the right fighter.

I think it’s a bust trying to teach him anything about ‘boxing’ now and think you just have to coax back into his old ways. Let him be the best fighter he can be.

AJ doesn't need a new trainer, he just needs to stop being a ***** and Brawl with Usyk in the rematch.
