I think Floyd still would win, because Canelo is weak at 154 and had to rely on speed / timing. His timing has improved dramatically since then, but I still think he’d lose to Floyd. Of course, at 168 I think Canelo would likely win, just like I think Andre Ward or any of the other elite bigger champs of Floyd’s day would have found a way through vs. Floyd in a hypothetical bout. There’s a reason Floyd stopped where he did, he’s a smart fellow and knew his limits.

People have concluded floyd beat the weakest version of Nelo, all FLoyd had to do was rematch the improved version to prove your theory. But FLoyd and his fans have no problem with people thinking that floyd beat the weakest version. Otherwise theyd want floyd to prove otherwise and that he can indeed beat the scary Nelo.

Floyd was at retirement age for the vast majority of fighters when they fought the first time and physically smaller. I'm no super fan of either guy. Im a boxing fan that sees the obvious. Canelo CAN BE OUT BOXED. Floyd was a MASTER CLASS BOXER. It's not rocket science or a down play on Canelos ability. Even an old shot Kovalev was out boxing this version of Canelo until he got caught in the 11TH round. Is it possible that a older wiser Canelo could catch Floyd at some point? Yes its possible. I personally dont believe its something I would bet on.
