I think it is two things to be honest and one is the pay day no doubt. I do also think that JMM has proved all he needs to prove against a certain level of guys and really does not need to fight guys like Juan Diaz anymore, so why not shoot for the stars. If he gets beat by Floyd so be it he tried to aim for the moon and fell short no shame in that, if somehow he is able to win that would be the biggest thing he could accomplish no matter the excuses that would pop up afterwards.

I agree though I do not want to see JMM get beat badly (and tend to think Floyd will beat him badly) as I do really like him as a fighter, I favor Floyd but I believe that JMM is a great fighter and I believe that great fighters should never be counted out.

Nah, that's not even Marquez's mind set. He took this fight cause he feels he can win it. lol He was high off victory after that Diaz fight though, I think that's why he called Mayweather out without even thinkin about it, unless he's always been thinkin about it. But you don't train like he does just cause you're walking in for the money. I think Marquez and Ignacio are dead serious on taking the W in this fight.

If he is, can you blame him? He is 36, and won't have THAT many fights ahead of him. Other than Pac (who seems disinterested), there aren't that many opponents who would bring the mega-payday. He has three kids.

If JMM took this $5 Mn just for the money, I can't be mad at that. That is a nice retirement check in DF.

I hope not, JMM is my one of my ATG's favorite fighters. I would be lying if the thought didnt cross my mind though. Mayweather being the co promotor of the fight. Always cherry picks. Could have made an offer JMM couldnt refuse. We wont know. If JMM wins great! Its who im picking anyway. Im not going to be surprised if he losses. I just hope the boxing Gods wont let a fix happen and we see a great fight to the end. And no robbery on the cards or nothing
