lol, damn right, he's not planning on just a payday...it's going to be really interesting with Mayweather trying to showoff and Marquez trying to win against all odds...

Listen,I believe most boxing fans want JMM to win,big heart, doesn't cherrypick, called out the bigger, stronger, faster fighter in floyd!!But the reality is that floyd is supposed to beat him, that's the only reason why this fight was made!!

This is clearly not a payday for JMM. You can tell by how he acts that he thinks he's got what it takes to win. Sometimes he looks so convinced that it makes the Mayweather fight look nothing more than just a stepping to a more important fight closer to JMM's heart, which would be a 3rd Pacquaio showdown.

I don't know if he really thinks he can beat this guy. Personally I can't see anyway that Marquez can beat Floyd. Floyd is bigger, stronger, hits harder, is quicker and has almost every intangible in this fight.

I love Marquez don't get me wrong. I will be rooting for him to win but I think that he wasn't given the 3rd Pacman fight and he decided he's 36 years old and needs to get paid. I don't blame him, I just don't want to see him get hurt or knocked out.

Marquez is an ATG, his resume speaks for itself. The man has fought the best and beat the best. He came up in a div that was arguably one of the toughest and deepest ever and is the last one standing.

He doesn't have great speed, strength, power or even a great chin. Yet he has managed to beat the best because he's probably the best PURE boxer and most intelligent fighter in the world today.

He is like a coach in the ring and coming from a trainer like me, that's a dream come true. When your fighter sees things at the same time you do, that's a quality you hardly ever will find in a fighter.

It's a shame that he didn't get the 3rd Manny fight because the more time that passes by and the more fights he has, he slips farther and farther away from his ability to beat someone like Manny.

I just hope it's a competitive fight between him and Floyd.
its a payday. jmm is just showing up for the check... if he wins that's great too, but he'll be happy just going 12 rounds.

i suddenly had a vision that jmm will lose huge fights in a row to pbf,pac and end his career w/ a couple of wins over good prospects.

                  same story for most.

It is what it is....... Marquez has no business fighting Floyd at that weight. He knows it, so does Nacho and everybody else.

Well, he's got nothing to lose. He's coming up multiple weight divisions to fight the former P4P king. A loss will not diminish his legacy or current standing as one of the best P4P fighters in the sport. It's a challenge that he feels he can win. He's better than a lot of the fighters on Floyd's resume; I think he's got a good shot at pulling it off. We'll have to wait to see, but I'm pulling for Dinamita in this one...
