Why do fighters still not realize Canelo defense

I get it he’s a brute puncher with an iron chin but his defense is ridiculous yes he’s gonna get touched of course it’s boxing even Floyd and sweet got beat up at times despite being defensive wizards remember Hurtado landing on Pernell all night and caveman Maidana landing on Floyd each and every rd.

Seems like these guys still don’t realize how hard canelo is to hit clean he’s as complete as they come in the game.

Yes but we all know his chin is granite. His defense his ability to roll slip and move his head out the way is very impressive. Forgot the rd but I think it was 6 or 7th we’re canelo just put his hands down and made Plant miss like 5 jabs in a row. Crazy

Canelo's defense and counterpunching are on another level. But I think only the truly elite fighters can adapt to it - that's the kind of separation you're suppose to show when you're considered to be P4P#1

Remember when Roger Mayweather managed to knock Sweet Pea down? lol... I never saw the Pea so angry...

Canelo is defensively responsible. He does use head movement well albeit selectively.

Ggg landed tons on Canelo but very few were on the chin/body,most were arm punches to the top half of the face/head & Canelo conversely landed on gs chin/body many many times with devastating haymakers but gs iron chin didn't budge even though you can tell it clearly hurt him on a few.

Canelo is a special fighter. His critics will realize how great he is decades after he retires.

Canelo should go up to 175 and try to beat Beterbiev, Bivol, and Joe Smith, then retire. It’s a tall order because the size of those guys, you are talking about in-ring cruiserweights.

Canelo has fought every good fighter he could fight from his era. There would be zero shame in retiring now. He can retire while saying “I literally fought every fighter that fans say I was ducking or that I would never fight”.

Some of the fighters his critics claimed he would never fight or said he was ducking:

                Austin Trout
                Erislandy Lara
                Gennady Golovkin
                Gennady Golovkin
                Daniel Jacobs
                Callum Smith (Funniest one tbh)

New list of fighters critics have come up with lately:

                David Benavidez
                Artur Beterviev
                Dmitry Bivol

                  Good points.

crazy thing is Canelo beats those last 3 guys too I like Arthur B but people are forgetting he is chinny he’s been dropped several times by guys who aren’t the hardest hitters. Bivol still his toughest fight I believe.
