They hit it out of the ****ing park with that card.

I had the boxing on in the background as well and focused on it when the Canelo fight came on (thankfully it was on at the same time as the womens fight which was the weakest fight on the main card). It was a decent card and the Dirrell KO was great.
I’m probably in the minority here, but I thought 267 was a better card overall.

you can’t get anymore embarrassing than that.

And it’s Usman the wild swingIng no skill head straight down to avoid shots who is begging to fight canelo. Canelo doesn’t even know the guy nor would he ever waste his time on low level ufc crap.
Jake Paul (who iirc has a collegiate wrestling background) could go train at a top MMA gym for a bit and then start challenging much smaller 40 year old boxers to MMA fights and it'd be the same result. It means very little. Btw you do realize a few years back Jake sparred with a guy who had a 3-2 record in lower level MMA and who he outweighed by like 50lbs, and he got tapped? Its on video.

You're missing the point because, like a lot of boxing fans that **** on MMA, your whole analysis of it is through a boxing lens because you dont understand the technical nuances of the sport. It'd be like if an MMA fan watched boxing and spent the whole fight going "look at how prone their lead leg is, they're so vulnerable to kicks" "it'd be easy to knee the **** out of this guy in the clinch now" "hes just shelling up, attack the legs" and then deduced from that (and the lack of kicks, wrestling etc) that its unskilled.

I'm pretty sure Canelo knows the guy that main evented a show that was going head to head with his fight on PPV, especially after what happened the last time he went head to head with a UFC.

I dont think it was as crazy as 268 but yeah, it was a great card too, Yan/Sandhagen was probably the highest level fight on the two cards.

To think we got both of those cards a week apart too.

Yan v Sandhagen became an instant classic. Yan is a complete fighter and Sandhagen showed that he can hang with the best of the division. UFC stays consistent with the quality of their cards. White knows that a stacked card is very important to the fans. It’s one of the reasons why the UFC has surpassed boxing. Two back to back high- quality cards and we’ll have another one in early December. Boxing is plagued with greed and the top fighters refusing to fight each other. I love boxing, but I also hate what it’s come to.

You're talking out of your ass. Mexican legends have stated they would love the Benavidez fight. And ThaBoxingVoice had a poll today where Charlo and Benavidez were more voted than Beterbiev and GGG.....nobody gives 2 ****s about Bivol.

If you're going to make claims post the proof.

Yeah the supercard approach lends itself much better to hosting watch parties or showing it at a bar too, which gives it another advantage over boxing when it comes to growing the fanbase.

That Canelo card was shockingly lazy and complacent considering they were trying to go head to head with it. We will have to see the PPV numbers for both but either way they were always going to end up looking like they were offering terrible value for money in comparison with that shyt.

Once again, just because fans/haters want something doesn't mean they are a draw(Benevidez fights in tiny ass venues ffs & has never been a draw, that is not my opinion, its a fact)

Of course mexicans want Canelo v Benevidez, doesn't mean it would sell or that Canelo would get credit, ppl would say he ducked so & so

You are out of your damn mind if you don't think Canelo vs Benavidez would sell. Who else is out there.......you're telling me Bivol and Beterbiev are major draws? Charlo?

In terms of drawing power Canelo is far ahead of anyone....in terms of resume it's the same too. Canelo isn't going to get more or less credit wether he fights Benavidez, Bivol, or Charlo.
