I have watched several Plant interviews and I don't believe that he ls outrageous or over the top all that much. I also have to ask what the hell is wrong with a fighter having confidence in himself? What is he supposed to say that he sucks and he is only fighting Canelo for a career payday? Which I personally do not believe. I also don't understand all of the negativity concerning Plants resume. After all, I do remember that he was still a kid, who was Canelo fighting in his 22nd fight? He didn't fight his first world title fight until his 37th fight when he fought Matthew Hatton for a vacant belt. I will admit that I am getting old and my clutch is beginning to slip a bit. With that said I don't recall Ricky's little brother having anything resembling a great career at the world level.

Plant is no kid, he's 29 years old. At 29 years old, Canelo had already fought Mayweather, GGG 2x, Lara, Cotto, etc. You can't compare their professional records, Canelo turned pro at 15, that's why his 22nd pro fight looks the way it looks. At 22 years old, Plant barely turned pro and had a 97-20 amateur record. At 22, Canelo was fighting Mayweather.

It wouldn't matter if Canelo was 12 years old when he began his career because I wasn't comparing their careers by how old they happen to be. And why is that? Because everybody and their brother is focused on Plant's resume and lack of experience when he is only going into his 22nd fight. I guess many boxing fans have gotten spoiled by the likes of Lomachenko and Usyk with their multiple belts in different division before their 20th fight. But they are still in the minority as I believe they should be. I will also admit that I have not heard every interview that Plant has ever done. With the said, other then yourself, I have never heard anyone ever state that they believe that Plant is a racist. So is it possible that your obvious dislike for Plant has clouded your judgement?
