Byrd, as a champion should fight any up and coming fighters. As a champion he should fight the best and the one who deserves it more because subjetc of who deserves more is truly subjective.
So if he does not fight the best what the heavyweight devision has to offer than he does not meet the requierments of a champion, therefore he is not a champion or if you want to call it he is a paper champion. Oh, and btw Kostya Tszyu will fight HAtton in England and he does not even blink. He just goes where the money is. In byrd's case he was offered $3.5 mil, which is his career high to fight in Germany. Also if he says that Wlad is a shot fighter than why should not he avenge his loss to the "shot" fighter. Clearly he thinks otherwise. Therefore he is also a hypocrite which is also cements my statements that Byrd is a Paper Champ.

The fight with WK would probably end Byrd's carrier. The remach and possible third stright lost to nondeserving and shot WK will end his carrier pernamently and show that his other "wins" were just a gift decisions or a good luck.

Avoiding the fight with WK (whathever the reasons are) is just a bussines. He have 2.5 M$ for each fight and if he win the next one he will probably fight for unification title which would be worth at least 4 M$. Even he lose in unification then nobody will tell that he is finished because he lost to undesrving and shot Witali Klitchko. So he will be still in the bussines.
