Unlike Crawford, Plant is facing the #1 P4P boxer on the planet for a full division unification.
After 5 fights against nondescripts, Crawford has yet to fight any of the other belt holder and in fact, his only belt at 147 was against Horn who got a gift decision against PAC so how the fùck is Crawford’s resume better??

In over 3 years after becoming a title holder, Crawford finally faces a credible opponent at 147 in Porter.
Meanwhile, in 2 years, Plant is risking his undefeated record and career by fighting the top dawg in boxing.

Calling him a bum is out of line he would beat everyone on canelos record. He’s much better than BJS, Liam smith, Daniel jacobs, Amir khan, Avni yildrim, callum smith,and the same golovkin he beat lost to dervychenko.poor dervy got robbed.I just think it’ll be closer than people think. I'm always pulling for a fellow American to win, but Alvarez will almost certainly win this. Plant simply doesn't hit hard enough to keep Alvarez at bay. Golovkin caught Canelo really good more than once (something very few people have done), and Canelo has a chin like an engine block. This all adds up to Canelo just walking down Plant and pounding him. And unlike Plant, Canelo can hit really hard -- enough to break an opponent's bones. Plant is a long, lean, rangy guy, where the body attack by Alvarez could be particularly debilitating. Hopefully Plant can work a miracle and make a real contest of it, but what I really expect is an ugly beat-down ending in either a knockout or a stoppage.

Lotta Plant haters we see. And then of course there are alotta Canelo haters. Bottom line: this will be a good action fight for as long as it lasts. And IMO, even though in my mind Canelo eventually comes out on top... it certainly won't be an easy ride for him. Plant is solid, good boxing basics so to speak, arrives in shape, well trained. Same for Canelo... so I think we all should just look forward to and enjoy this one.

Caleb Plant is so much overrated. He is a cherry picker who dodged top dogs to get his belt thanks to PBC. He avoided Benavidez like a plague. Caleb Plant is only here a pay day.

I like when casuals get in here to mix it up. He didn’t “avoid” Benevidez. No one has “avoided” Benevidez. He’s his own worst enemy. Benevidez won a vacant title then was stripped. He came back for a tune up then won it again and was stripped. There’s no one to blame but Benevidez himself for his woes. He’s like the guy who kills his own parents then cries later because he’s an orphan. All the while Plant at the exact same time was building his profile. Nothing more and nothing less. I’ve only seen a rerun of the Plant vs.Truax fight. While Plant is taller than Canelo, I couldn’t believe his fighting style. Leaning in with his head and his hands at his waist. That’s tailor made for Alvarez’s power. Maybe some of you Plant fans can explain to me what I’m missing. Otherwise, it will be an early night.

Uztagcui win was great at the time. He’s lost a bit of shine since but uztacgui was top 2 at the weight when he beat him. I just think plant will put up a spirited effort I’ve never said he would win for sure because canelo is a great fighter. Plant is better than people are giving him credit for tho.
