Why don't people mention fighters like Young Griffo...who had over 200 fights...68 of them draws. Or Dave Sands and Les Darcy. Is it because they aren't American or European?Comment

There's a lot of things wrong with that list but the most crucial thing wrong that I noticed washello everyone! i am a 14-year old fan who is just getting into boxing. i've done a decent amount of research into it, and i've compiled my opinion list of the top 50 boxers ever, ranked. please note that a lot of this is probably not going to be very good or accurate, since i'm kinda new to this. every single boxer on my list fought before i was born lol.
anyways, without further ado:

- Muhammad Ali
- Joe Gans
- Willie Pep
- Benny Leonard
- Joe Louis
- Henry Armstrong
- Roberto Duran
- Ezzard Charles
- Rocky Marciano
- Lennox Lewis
- Manny Pacquiao
- Sam Langford
- Carlos Monzon
- Sugar Ray Leonard
- Harry Greb
- Floyd Mayweather Jr.
- Evander Holyfield
- Jimmy Wilde
- Gene Tunney
- Jack Dempsey
- Archie Moore
- Jack Johnson
- Joe Frazier
- George Foreman
- Marvelous Marvin Hagler
- Julio Cesar Chavez Sr.
- Sandy Saddler
- Thomas Hearns
- Oscar De La Hoya

it definitely needs much work, so i am open to and encourage suggestions and constructive criticism from you all. i tried my best, so i hope you like it. happy boxing to all!
Joe Calzaghe and above Roy Jones and hopkins aswell
The guy beat a prime kessler and a completely over hyped Jeff lacy...whoever else he fought was way past their prime or a complete tomato can
And Rock Marciano is way too high he was very similar around when competition was mediocre ...but hey at least he didn't duck anybodyComment

Not a bad list at all mate. It’s obviously subjective so nobody is going to completely agree on a top 50, 10, 5 etc but I think most non-biased fans would agree that this is a fair list.hello everyone! i am a 14-year old fan who is just getting into boxing. i've done a decent amount of research into it, and i've compiled my opinion list of the top 50 boxers ever, ranked. please note that a lot of this is probably not going to be very good or accurate, since i'm kinda new to this. every single boxer on my list fought before i was born lol.

The longer you follow the sport, the more you’ll learn, I was naive as hell when I first started following boxing as a kid. The main thing about researching boxing is finding the accurate sources, the vast majority of the media have their own biases, vested interests and agendas.

I do agree. Calzaghe is the one name that stood out to me, he definitely isn’t a top 50 fighter IMO.

I often defend Joe on here, his resume is a lot better than people give him credit for but we’re talking about the best of the best of the best here and Joe simply isn’t in that conversation.Comment

Well done mate.
I remember being 14 and coming up with lists like this... A lot less worries and much more time in life lol.
I think it's a really good, balanced list on a quick scan.
Don't grow up to be a d*ck like some of the people on here. Their just keyboard warriors with no life. Ignore them.Comment
