    Caleb Plants Game Plan?

What would be the best game plan for him to implement in order to beat Canelo?

Outbox Canelo for 12 rounds and get a narrow split decision

I suspect it will be jab and run. Toss in an occasional right hand while trying to avoid the counter. Probably take Canelo until mid-late rounds to close the distance and catch him. Anyone know how big the ring will be? The bigger the ring, the more room Plant has to run and maneuver.

The best game plan for Plant to implement is to stick his head between his legs and kiss his ass goodbye.

Make sure the check cashes then try to avoid getting KTFO.
            Won’t work.

Andre Ward is the best example but...

              1) Commit the jab. Canelo has issues with jabs that are committed. It seems to disrupts his timing. Since GGG2, his opponents have been too weary of putting out a jab with intentions(fear of getting countered) or aren't good jabbers in general.
              2) Push Canelo back. Canelo has become a beast coming forward BUT he's compromised it for not being comfortable fighting on the backfoot. Since 2018, everyone has been unsuccessful at pushing him back(too weary of his power). But if Caleb, somehow, has a good enough chin to not be afraid and push Canelo back...he has a chance.
              3) Make it messy on the inside, use range on the outside, use lots of movement, avoid midrange and under no circumstance get pressured to the ropes
              4) Take advantage of Canelo's reset period. After he unloads his offense, he has a habit of getting back to counter puncher position. Caleb needs get on him ASAP after he unloads and get out ASAP. Golovkin and Kovalev had success with the first part BUT weren't quick enough on their feet for the second part

                    - -Standard for most title rings these days is 20x20, a far cry from the 24' ring Leonard ran to outpoint Marv.
