It’s November now so not long to go before the year is out.

There have been some good individual wins but nobody has had multiple quality wins this year.

Fury and Usyk both have one quality win each, Josh Taylor unified 140 but has only fought once this year, Canelo will possibly have two good wins and will have unified 168 so I suppose he has to be in conversation too if he beats Plant.

You pretty much nailed it...Kind of a weak year for the top guys to be honest as they are just mainly only fighting once, minus Canelo.

Fury was a big favorite after the 2nd fight so he's probably not getting it.

Taylor had a very good win vs Ramirez.

If Canelo beats BJS/Plant back to back, maybe that is enough to get him the award?

Inoue fought weak competition....Crawford is only fighting once.....Spence is not fighting at all....Lopez wasted the year.......Possibly Jojo if he beats Haney? He would have wins over Fortuna and Haney, two fights he would be the underdog in.

Charlo/Castano ended in a draw so they are eliminated from contention.

Will likely come down to how you rate the Joshua win for Usyk compared to BJS/Plant for Canelo...If Canelo is able to beat Plant. Taylor will be a candidate as well.

A lot of people never considered Mikey to be a real threat at 147 though. Myself included.
