Comments Thread For: Tommy Fury: Jake Paul is About To Learn a Serious Life Lesson!

Unbeaten Tommy Fury has promised to punish Youtube star turned boxer, Jake Paul, when they meet in an eight round cruiserweight bout. On Saturday, December 18 at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, months of trash talk will finally be settled when they collide in the main event of a Showtime pay-per-view card. The bout will be contested at a 192-pound catchweight.

I generally have a rule: I do not comment bomb things with negativity simply because I am not interested. I tend not to even click on stories that are unappealing to me. So this next comment should be taken with a grain of salt as I find this entire saga with anything concerning any fighter with the last name "Paul", while admittedly good for getting boxing in the mind of the general public, a complete farce.

Fury should end this unless it is more.... ummmm... how do I say this....financially prudent for him not to. Paul is a joke and we know it, but at least he gets eyeballs on the sport. Tommy Fury will amount to very little in his career, but I will buy a T-Shirt with his name on it if he just embarrasses Paul and shows the people watching why Boxing is not a side show and requires actual skill and dedication.

Has Fury actually put dedication in, though?

Realistically the only thing Jake is going to do is drink 6-8 White Claws and then probably knock Tommy out or lose a very close contest. I mean they both suck

Paul has no knockout clauses in the contracts. So if Fury has to toy with and box him for "how many rounds" it's very easy to give Paul an SD and keep the gravy train rolling. How much is Fury getting to take a bogus L?

“End this clown “ ? .. FFS ones a youtuber and the other is a reality tv guy who got the gig because he's tysons brother , I don’t doubt he’s been around fighting and has been toughened up by his dad but as a real pro fighter he’s not got it and going nowhere in terms of his skill and his inner want to climb the real tough ladder , Tyson and his dad know it and have engineered this financial path for him to earn some easy money and fair play to them but this circus has two clowns in it and not just one
