    - -That's about right, but at end AJ unmarked save for a bruised eye that initially caused some concern.

Ring sycophants say Usyk pitched a masterclass, damned if I ever saw a masterclass winner look as busted up as this AFTER he was tidied up for the press conference.

'but saudi prince ordered da killing of a dissident'.
i don't blame the saudi prince. look at iraq, syria, egypt, libya, tunisia and afghanistan. saudi would be far worse and in complete civil war if there wasn't a mad dog in charge.

plus on that topic of sellouts. Fury has previously dissed zionist ***s and their media, banks etc. Yet when top rank/espn came in for him, he jumped to that ship for that $100m. He used to be one of those who would say 'i dont need that money' bleat on about how aj was a 'company man, yes man' etc. yet he's become all those things as espn told him how to dress, even what language to speak to try and break the american market..and he failed. if they told him to wear a dress he would.

he played the white saviour, he played the mexican, he played the black guy, the christian hero. He has been in every nook and cranny seeking fame. Begging for attention 'muh dippresshun' 'muh jezuz'. The james corden of boxing.

AJ actually rarely does media. he does promotional campaigns for sponsors.

I didn't read much because after the second question, the very first actual statement you make, is some weird assumption. I'm implying he should fight for his people. America is not his people. Nigeria ever hosted a HW title fight, ever? Ukraine? How many HW title fights been on English soil? Sell out, just like Fury, just like Lennox.

Dude's entire career is English. He alone raised the number of HW title fights on English soil by quite a bit.....except wins all his titles back for desert fools that don't actually give a **** and are just trying to westernize their culture so we ***** sell about **** like Kaf's post less.....cause they pay him better.

        Nigeria? Is this a joke?

War torn Ukraine? Even Wlad didn’t fight there - he fought in Germany.

In as much as Josh is a middle class white geezer wrapped in a black man’s body - those places are weird suggestions. Boxing is a business not a charity organisation. Those countries just exist on the surface of the earth - nothing works there. This is a big event for big bucks and advanced logistics.

You have to follow the money in boxing. It’s prize fighting not charity fighting.

Then sell out shouldn't bother you, him, or any of his other fans. You're using economics to defend loyalty.....Loyalty often is charity, fool. It'd be a big thing to do for his people to fight in Nigeria and take a comparatively tiny paycheck....you know....for his people.

Ukraine's just for Usyk really. Yes, I'm aware the K2 bros are sell outs. Ukraine hosts fights, just not for their champions that matter, cause, yup, them champions sold out.

Who are “his people”? Do those people even support one another because if they do, the continent won’t be in the terrible state it’s in. Have you ever seen live crabs in a bucket? - if you have, then what is understood needs no explanation.

You don’t expect people to risk their lives to go to an unstable/uncivilised place to please your ego. Nigeria or African ain’t it (don’t want to say too much and end up looking like a racist but Trump has a choice word). And Ukraine is technically in a war apart from being broke.

Based on your logic: Lennox Lewis was also a sell out for not fighting in Jamaica then.

Stop telling people to do what you can’t do. Where’s your ancestry?

Ali didn't have to go to Africa. Ali didn't have to talk **** in palaces with no protection at dictators who could have easily killed him. Ali used his clout to criticize, Ali used his status to fight for the rights of his people.

Joshua got a tattoo, can't be fucked to even put on a show.

Yes, economically speaking, it's dumb as **** to fight in Africa. Ali sure were a special kind of dumb****. Joshua got a tattoo then followed greenbacks, not Africans.

That said, I support Joshua being a UK exclusive. I'm just saying Nigeria would be an acceptable non-sellout move. You absolutely know why he's fighting in Saudi and it'd be just as clear why if he stayed home or went and put on a show for the source of his ethnicity. UK is where Joshua came from, he was trained by a UK fighter, he made his entire career in the UK. He has no reason to be here, Saudi, Japan, Russia, where ever you can think of, except, greenbacks.

i thought i'd replied to this point but it seems the post isn't there.
Basically it isnt only about AJ, it's about his opponent too. Who would fight him in Nigeria? aj said numerous times he'd love to fight there, but it would have to make sense. Ajagba was a potential big nigeria fight but Ajagba lost to Sanchez and probably won't ever fight Joshua now. There's this 6ft8 guy who Wilder is managing but he's too green yet.

Andy Ruiz would not fight in the UK iof you remember. Putting on aj in the US the first time round was for the benefit of Dazn as they were new in that market, but AJ's sky sports box office numbers struggled. he did around 500k ppv buys for that fight when the rematch in saudi did 1.5m ppv buys, that's the difference prime time (fight was on at 9pm in the uk). So already america is losing it's value as a host for british fighters, at least to arab money. Plus, with dazn being sub based it makes no difference to them if they show an aj fight at 2-3pm american time or 11pm. Will it make a difference in subs, that? i doubt it.

AJ vs Usyk 2 would ideally be in the UK but i think it will now struggle to sell out a big arena. AJ is too big for the o2/manchester arena 20k type attendances.
booking a football stadium in april would be a hard job too when football is busy that time of yr. Only wembley and principality which are national team stadium's are ok for that time of year and AJ won't sell those out after this loss. he'd be lucky to get 50k in attendance. Reality is AJ will lose a lot of casual support after this loss...and it was the same issue with andy ruiz rematch too.

IF the saudis are willing to pay £100m site fee again, who would be dumb enough to turn it down?
AJ's corporate sponsors are the main reason he is as big as he is. It doesnt matter how good an athlete/sports person is, it's only when they have corporate sponsors they get on billboards for free all over a country. Those corporate sponsors inc Under Armour, Jaguar, Land Rover, Beats Electronics, Sky Sports, Audemars Piguet, DAZN, Electronic Arts, and Hugo Boss, Lucozade. (copy pasted). some of them, they want exposure in other markets outside of the UK, so believe it or not AJ is probably encouraged to fight in places like saudi by all of them.

Also should add that you may well think the saudis are just dopey boring fat mongs who don't know what time of day it is. However they were very much into the aj-ruiz fight, many of them taking pics with andy ruiz knew exactly who he was. the problem was the dirriyah stadium was small knit and exclusively for the elite club in saudi. The ave person in riyadh wasnt really invited. The ave saudi in places like riyadh and jeddah, are very much in tune with the modern world, no different to people in dubai, qatar etc.

The world is far more globalised now and the truth is the affluent saudi these days are more into capitalist/western culture than those who live in the west. they love football(soccer), boxing, wrestling, movies, tv shows and music, all the western things. they also are obsessed with big brands.

                    Stop it.

Ali, at least at this stage of his career wasn’t the saint some of you paint him to. He was flawed just like everyone else. And he did misspeak just like everyone loquacious person does.

Ali didn’t go to fight in Africa because he gave a monkey about Africa - he went there solely for money. Mobutu paid the highest money ever paid for a fight in history to land the fight in Zaire and Don King organised it. Ali famously said he’s grateful his ancestors were sold into slavery when he landed in Zaire after seeing what it was like there. So why are you trying to claim he went to fight there because he cared about them? The fella went there solely for money.

AJ can do whatever the fffccck he wants - he doesn’t owe Africans anything. He belongs here and he can go fight wherever he wants. He needs to get the Saudi money and keep getting as much as he can.

Ali went to Zaire solely for money. Mobutu robbed his people to pay Ali and Foreman to fight in the most brutal country on earth under the worst dictator ever.

Ali also said he was grateful his ancestors were sold into slavery after seeing Africans in Zaire. Yes, he changed his stance later but that was what he said at the time
