Ethnicity is not the same as race. He's still 100% Mexican. Just like Canelo is.

Exactly. most African Americans have “white DNA” in them. It’s why African Americans look unique. Odessa Grady Clay looks to share the same circumstance as Andre Ward

Mexico has so many ATG fighters there is no the best how can you split them, they were and are all truly great, when you boil it down Mexico is probably the world leader in great boxing champions.

I wouldn't necessarily say he is the best Mexican boxer ever though. Not right now, you have to let him finish his career.
He could be up there as one of the most well rounded.

he still lost to GGG though, everyone knows it.

Canelo is a modern great and probably the best of this current era but let’s not forget the flaws in his game that have been exposed in the past by Mayweather, Lara etc. There’s no way in hell Canelo is a more talented fighter than Sanchez analysing them from a skill perspective.
Man stop, we all know what Mexican fighters usually bring to the table. It's a lot of toughness and heart. It's never been about 'skill' for them. Don't try and be 'that' guy.

I stand by my original comments. I've seen a lot of JCC SR and enough of Sanchez. He was a tough, long rangy fighter for his weight classes. I don't think he was as 'skilled' as Canelo is. For someone to make the argument that he 100% was, you trying too hard to be a know it all, and exposing yourself.

Why are you judging Canelo by his fights when he was clearly not at his best - they were 8 and 7 years ago lol. He fought a similar style recently in BJS and smashed him. The man is obviously a different fighter now than he was 8 years ago.

Twice too, but no shame in that. GGG should get a lot more respect on this board. He is incredibly hard to beat, or was. He is hard to hurt, and his workrate and strong jab make him very tough to win rounds against. At close to 40 I have to imagine he is fading but yeah on his day I wouldn't really favor too many guys around 160 against him, past or present.

Where is the point of contention with my comment? I said Salvador is the top Mexican boxer of all time, listed some of his accolades, and then followed it up with 2 fighters that had great accolades themselves while still putting Sanchez above them.....

I’m judging Canelo at fights when he was 23-24, the same age Sanchez was when he tragically passed away.

I suspect you haven’t seen enough of Sanchez.

To suggest Mexican fighters don’t rely on skill is an egregious generalisation.
