Shawn is like gate keeper status almost. Although I'm not sure what he's gate keeper of. He's still fighting high level competition but generally just loses to them. I'd expect the same here. He's like B level if you want to consider, Errol, Crawford and Thurman (back then) A level.

He is the guy the A fighters HAVE to beat to stay relevant. Though Shawn can still definitely beat actual B and C fighters, no doubt.

I just hope and pray (for Sean's heath) Kenny does the right thing, throws the towel before too much permanent damage is done to Sean.
You guys are hilarious they’ve known bud since the amateurs and followed his career closely Sean Porter isn’t scared of bud or his bandwagon of zealots this a real opponent and Crawford is gonna look like a deer in headlights once things kick off. Brian Macyntire is NOT a good coach and it’s gonna start to show when bud fights the top shelf.

Kind if like Porter is now after so many battles.
Possibly. But on paper is what he's saying. So that makes Brook the better test. On paper. And Brook was actually in the fight against Crawford until he got clipped. His previous facial injuries played no part in it. Maybe Porter will be in the fight until he gets clipped also. I suspect he will be.

1/ given you crap all over British fighters I'm thinking you're being sarcastic about Burn's legacy.
How can you doubt my sincerity? Everyone knows that I'm a big Rickster fan. I was heartbroken when he did not get the decision vs. Lee Selby in 2019, a MD loss is in a way a moral victory for Ricky Burns.

2/ Jumping weights is not necessarily the most important. Look at Broner's non legacy. I'd rather see a fighter continually clear out a division of the cream that rises to the top or at least try to.
I agree, in certain instances jumping weight does not add to a boxers legacy. There is however, some irony in your post considering :

Adrien Broner's TKO victory over a prime Antonio Demarco for the lightweight lineage, which propelled Broner in the P4P ratings in 2012, is far more meaningful than anything Shawn Porter has done at welterweight.

3/ I get what you are saying about Porter being big enough to fight at LMW and staying at WW because he can do better there. But that's what 1/2 the modern fighters do - Spence, both Charlos, Sor Rungvisai at 115, Ramirez when at 168, Calum Smith when at 168, Broner when at 135, Hurd when he was at 154 and the list goes on. Fact is Porter has challenged himself at 147 more than any other fighter the last few years - honorable mention to Brook (Porter, Spence, Crawford and Golovkin suicide mission)
It made no sense for Shawn Porter to move up because he could not beat the best welterweights, you kinda have to be dominant in a particular weight class to seek greater challenges, or your body outgrows the weight.

4/ Ricky Burns may merit HOF more than Porter in your view but the voting members show the same favoritism towards American fighters that you normally display. If Benn and Eubank Sr. are still not in the HOF then senor Burns has less chance of coming in than he does of winning a title in a comeback run.
This made me laugh, Ricky Burns is better than E.U.Bum and Nigel

I really like both fighters, but I have an idea that someone could get knocked out. Any idea who? Here's a clue. He dresses like a gay supermodel

Next to Wilder vs Fury 3, this is the fight I have been most excited for this year. Gonna be a great show. Shawn Porter is never in a dull fight and Crawford is a great finisher. Porter is tough as nails and game. I expect him to take Crawford’s best shots and still continue moving forward. Porters there to be hit, but he’s game and he can wear you down with his style.

Everything tells me leading up to this that Crawford will win a decision, but Porter is no easy win for anybody and I except him to bring it. It’ll be a great bout for sure.

Really? I know how casually criticisms are thrown around here, but seriously, dial it back a bit.

I absolutely can't stand Crawford. He avoided Pac at all costs until he retired. I mean seriously dude. What's your best win. You don't even have one.
