A clear cut comanding win over Mosley, Margarito and a 154 belt holder would make him HOF bound.

they think cotto did something special with his resume.

cotto has been protected his whole career.

the only time he hasn't been protected was the past year.

he had no choice but to fight marg to unify.

he had no choice but to fight clottey because he needed a big win to get a superfight with pacquiao.

aside from those , his opponents were handpicked.

they picked shane because everyone thought shane was washed up and shane was coming back down from 154.

they fought zab because zab was on a 3 fight winless streak.

        people have selective memories.

Cotto got outlanded in power punches and was the only one that got hurt in that fight.

This is also a version of Mosley that is way past what he was when he fought a prime De La Hoya. Combine all this with the fact that he let his #1 threat leave the division in Paul Williams and squat on vacant title belts, he is far from the HOF. I think Williams has a better resume than Cotto. It has quality over quantity. Cotto's resume has quantity over quality. Cotto has never convincingly beat an A-level fighter.

Cotto has a bunch of C+ to B level fighters on his resume like Malinaggi, Torres, Judah, Corley, Bailey, and Abdulaev. The only A level fighters that Cotto has fought are Mosley and Margarito. I thought Mosley beat Cotto by hurting him, and not showing any broken determination in the late rounds. And the Margarito thumping that Cotto got was due to effective body punching and uppercuts that Margarito was landing and Cotto's flaws as a boxer. Luis Resto did not throw any body punches on Collins. So is that win by Margarito that questionable?

Williams already has two A-level fighters on his resume in Margarito and Williams. And he is about to BEAT THE #1 GUY IN THE MIDDLEWEIGHT DIVION FOR HIS TITLE IN KELLY PAVLIK AND NOT SQUAT ON A VACANT BELT.
                      Margarito is not A level.

Winky Wright at that stage was not A level. I'm not here to **** on P Will though, I like him.

Mosley never hurt Cotto either. So many things wrong with that post.

Anyway...Cotto is not a HOF yet. He's damn close. Not only has he beaten good names, but he's been in classic fights. If he would have beaten Marg I'd say he would have been because at that point he would have cleaned out a division.

Off the top of my head Cuevas and Qawi are both less talented than Cotto, probably not as accomplished either.
