Why don’t pro boxers infiltrate Youtube?

Some pro boxing legends, active fighters, and some boxing fans are fine and not bothered by Youtube personalities getting into pro boxing, or retired pro boxers like Ali, Foreman, Tyson, Mayweather, DLH, Mosley, etc, taking part in circus/exhibition fights.

The fighters that have an issue with guys like the Paul brothers generating more interest than them in their own sport should maybe try to promote themselves on Youtube?

It can’t be that hard, especially for a pro boxer with a decent following on social media.

Fighters like Terence Crawford, who can’t sell fights or himself, have several 100 thousand followers on social media. Going by that, one can assume that the “potential” is there for Crawford to be a consistent 300k PPV seller. At least. And then maybe even more if he advertised himself to fans.

So why cry about these exhibition fights? Why not just use the platform that the Paul brothers used to gain a larger following?

It’s not the Paul Brother’s fault that some boxers can’t sell or get no attention. Some people act like, the fan interest and revenue these non-boxers gain would somehow actually be theirs if these fights didn’t exist. In reality, those extra fans would just not watch boxing. Literally nothing is lost. These circus fights can only help with “gaining”, not making boxing lose interest.

Fighters who can’t draw for whatever reason, will flop with or without these circus fights. There is no “limelight” being stolen. No, the several hundred thousand more PPV buys the youtuber generated would not have gone to those boxers with no drawing power.

These exhibition fights are just a good scapegoat for fighters who aren’t a draw.

Young fighters maybe like Ryan Garcia and Teofimo etc.

That audience is mostly kids. Someone like Crawford wouldn't appeal to that crowd.

They do? Junior Fa has a cute youtube channel where he's trying to gain an audience and you got Tim Witherspoon on here promoting his new channel for training and such.

I realize the first ain't really a big name and the second is retired but still...

Most boxers are boring and don't have the personality for youtube.
