Kavaliuskas still looked pretty good to me, up until the point Vergil Ortiz broke him down.

ya can’t take u seriously u obviously don’t watch boxing. Current Brook would get wiped out by porter Brook is a shell of the fighter that fought Porter 8 years ago like he hadn’t fought for 2 years or at 147 in years before he cashed out on the TC fight lmao. Porter beats everyone on that list handily indongo is a bum only a TC nut hugger would bring him up as a credible name and benevidez jr was winning rounds Vs bud on one leg. Crawford hasn’t beat anyone of note he has 0 signature wins even if he beats Porter which I’m not sure about it still doesn’t solidify his standing as the top dog. There’s currently 4/5 fighters I would put in to beat him at 147 ortiz ennis and spence(spence is damaged goods now tho pre accident spence was the best at 147 far and away since his injuries the gap has closed) ugas and we’ll how Porter does also bud didn’t even clear out 140 he beat Indongo and instead of sticking around to fight anyone good in the division like Mikey garcia or Regis prograis josh Taylor he went to 147 to avoid those fights and continue competing with bums

Bud is right, the KD is insignificant! Kavaliauskas wound up getting stopped! Bud has been knocked down before, when he was even younger, and those folks got stopped too! The only knock on Bud is his level of opposition! Even at 140! DSG has a better run at 140, without being undisputed! Bud needs this win, and he needs to shine, while getting it!

Let's hope you keep that same energy when Crawford ices Porter. Willing to bet it will suddenly change to, "Porter was a gatekeeper. Dude lost to Spence, Thurman, and barely got past Danny Garcia and should've lost to Ugas."

Porter is a very ordinary fighter. He is the definition of 1-dimensional. Crawford is going to hurt him.

As for the fight, it was a challenge and I thought Crawford should have been charged a knock down and wasn't. More importantly, Kavaliauskas didn't just get clipped, Crawford broke down and beat him badly enough were Kavaliauskas is not the same.

Porter IMO is very strong like Kavaliauska but smarter, Porter is something different.
Porter is physically strong but doesn’t hit no where near as hard as Kav. I’ve never considered him a hard puncher. Come to think of it, who was the last guy Porter even knocked out ? Paulie?

But it did change the dynamic. After that knock down, Crawford turned it up and beat the dog shxt out of him. It being officially ruled a knock down makes no difference. Kav knew that he hurt Bud & Bud found out that Kav had the power to drop him. Bud was the one who took the kd as extra motivation

Danny also has never had any intention on fighting Bud at 140 or 147. Plus when they both were at 140 the Cold War between Haymon and Bob was still a thing so that was never gonna happen regardless.

Bud in my opinion is a victim of circumstance. The PBC guys never wanted any part of him. He’s always called them out, whereas they all took pride in telling him that he was on the wrong side of the street, they were getting more money than him, they have more options etc. etc. Not one of them has ever uttered “I want Crawford next” instead they have every reason not to fight him

Porter is far from a very ordinary fighter, a very ordinary fighter doesn't give Spence that kind of fight but I 'll agree he is not special. He is unconventional, rugged and has a great chin and he will give you a hard fight but if Bud is as special as the eye test says despite his lack of marquee opponents at the weight class, I expect him to give Porter a comprehensive beating and I might even go as far as to say he may even be the first one to stop him. That or he might get exposed for what what most consider a weak resume but I will lean more to the former rather than the latter.

I thought it was funny watching the "p4p" best getting smacked, poking and prodding. The Craw got dead serious after Kava dropped him. Same for Ortiz when Kava made him do the stanky leg, but he only had 18 fights, so it wasn't so funny. Ortiz got busy after he cleared his head, but he was hurt worse than Bud, even if he didn't go down.

You're suggesting that Spence IS special...based on - what - exactly? What has Spence done to be revered as special? Dude is also quite ordinary. In the Porter win Spence had the ref in his pocket and was allowed to throw ~50-75 low blows without warning or punishment. Spence has yet to fight a legitimate prime opponent and has actively avoided an available opponent in Crawford because he's Top Rank and he's black...and Spence apparently doesn't want to fight CERTAIN black fighters.
