I thought Stevenson looked real good against Herring. He showed skills and grit. Herring eventually started landing some shots and Shakur had to dig a bit deeper than he initially thought he would have to. It will be difficult to beat him fighting from the outside but I think a good inside fighter could give him trouble. It’ll be interesting to see him fight again. I favour Stevenson over Valdez because he can probably keep Valdez on the outside for most of the fight. He’ll likely keep Valdez tentative too because of the length and speed factor. Another thing that struck me in his fight with Herring is how big Stevenson looked. He looked noticeably bigger than Herring. He’s got a lot of strengths going for himself at 130. He may end up at 140 or maybe 147 eventually.
