If Canelo would actually fight and win the avoided fights at 160, 175 I would agree. 168 is tomato can ally, the weakest division in boxing.

hes not lying there, if he can rise above a dog fight and win clean & clear thats a good statement to make, cant argue with that one, if he wins easy thats even better

So you discredit 168 but don't have an issue with the version of 140 that Crawford unified (and fought for vacant lineal rather than beating someone)?

If he knocked Porter out cold?

it would definitely give him solid points for it.

he’s not over Canelo in my book but knocking Porter stiff, unable to stand? He’s over Naoya at that one.

Yet and still, his resume is way better than Bud Crawford's! Callum Smith & BJ Saunders much better than Kavaliauskas and Kell Brook!

It would have to be very dominating.

As in a KO of Shawn Porter.

Did Crawford really say that? Manouk is a known Canelo hater. I’m sure he picked up from a particular question that isn’t in the report. Manouk just doing that to throw shade at Canelo. For instance, Manouk would phrase it or question Bud like this, “Many feel that you’re already P4P #1. Do you feel that if you beat Porter in devastating fashion that it still keeps you in that position?” -Manouk. And then Bud is flattered and answers…

Canelo dethroned Smith, who shook Groves. It’s not Canelo’s fault if Smith was super drained and we now see his sheer power at 175 knocking guys out cold…

What if he loses? Does he fall out of the top 10? A lot of fighters that were in the top 10, stay ranked in that top 10 after a loss. Some fall right off.....deservedly so. What do think should happen to Bud if he loses?

I think Crawford should take a shot at Charlo's title...similar reach, huge build-up, big money fight, GREAT for legacy...it'd be his first 50-50 fight, those type of fights are win-win.
I'm not sure Bud would want that fight at that weight without a few tune-ups. He might run out of time while tuning up though. At 34, the clock MAY be ticking ... or it may not. We will see ...
