I agree, I don't see what the big rave is I think he has looked awful in recent memory especially under Sugar Hill Steward.
Knockouts blind people and they dismiss obvious signs of slippage.

Frankly I don't rate SHS just because his Uncle was the greatest trainer to ever live don't mean he is any good. I've never heard or seen anything to lead me to suggest he isn't living off the great Manny Stewards name. All I ever hear from him is **** like ''C'mon big dawg, lets knock him out'', ''Kronk style big dawg''. Glorified motivational speaker if you ask me.

The gameplan is set at that point. The training work has been put in. The aggression and endurance turned way up. All in training. On fight night key words go a long way. The trainer and fighters intimate relationship creates a language. It sounds like "motivation" but it probably means a few very specific things to those two.

Sugar Hill has definitely made Fury a beast at his size and reach, exponentially from where Fury was in the Wlad fight. If motivational words is all it takes to make that change, I bet a lot of HW's want to hear those words, LoL! But I get your point. Fury is one of the largest HW's with incredible reach and light feet. You won't find many like that. Sugar Hill has to make some ordinary guys great to even approach the work that Emmanuel Steward did ... with dozens of fighters.

Still, Sugar has done well with Fury.

Well he got put in a coma and had his career ended so he hardly did wonders did he?
The other fighter in Anthony Dirrell, his career went completely downhill under his tutelage and he looked absolutely awful under his guidance.

He can't even get his fighters in shape ffs, no technical advise just nothing but a glorified Tunde Adayi, a hypeman acting like a cheerleader on the sidelines.

He has taught Fury nothing. Kronk style? He was fighting the same way in other fights only he looked a hell of a lot less sluggish, ponderous and wasn't throwing big telegraphed armpunches.
He was doing everything he is now only with some finesse.

He fought the same way in the second half of the Wallin fight.

No idea why people are crediting him or acting like its Kronk style when its nothing but his own.

That’s a fair point in decision making. But In my opinion he’s done great job with fury and Stevenson and not to mention does fantastic things with local amateurs too. He’s no where near as poorly skilled as you say, again IMO. Bro Stevenson fought a brilliant fighter and what happened to him is a great shame, heartbreaking even.

In no way whatsoever could you lay the blame at hills door. Boxing men are warriors and are fully aware of the dangers they face. If you are a boxing man then I’d like to think you’d already know this.

EDIT:: Btw today’s prizefighters are actually much more conscious of there decision making. Fighters now are paid higher than ever for fights nowhere near worth the pay grade. So Tbf they’re not just “Prizefighters and just that”. They’re businessmen now. With most having some sort of company either inside or outside of the sport.

Its wrong to put the blame at his door, it can happen to anybody I just mean its not a great look especially with such a thin resume. Anthony Dirrell looked very promising coming up, maybe personal reasons or the step up in class but I thought he regressed under SHS and was often soft looking.

I don't think Tysons judgement is the best lets not forget Tyson practically hired a P.E teacher as his trainer as part of a bet he couldn't get some girls number lol

I've simply not seen anything to suggest this guy is a good trainer. I haven't seen him offer any technical advice or making sure his fighters are still alert, pointing out they're being set up for certain shots or anything like that, his stable hardly ever seem to come in great shape even on the pads he is just goofing around and having a laugh for most part. I feel Tyson has looked horrible under him and a lot more basic. Reliant on his size more than a combination of his size and skills.

Time will tell but as long as Tyson keeps winning nobody is likely to question shs. I feel Tyson is good enough he doesn't need a trainer but he feels he requires more a friend to make camps fun and that is what helps keep him grounded but for me he needs someone less about having fun and getting him into optimal shape and not neglecting his skills. He can get away with it against a very limited Wilder though as we seen a very dangerous game but against a much more skilled Usyk or a big, relentless Joyce I feel he has to be at his very best & in tremendous shape. I am not remotely convinced based on what I seen in the trilogy that was a good enough Tyson to beat those guys.

History making win but its left me personally very sceptical of Tyson and his team moving forward, SHS especially.

There was times through I just couldn't help but question what Tyson was doing.
Not jabbing his way in or moving his head. Following a puncher in straight lines with a highguard when you know his only weapon is the right hand.

I'd like too think any trainer worth their salt would have corrected this or pointed out the mistakes he was making.

And as a Fury fan it kind of pained me to see him getting clipped with such silly shots as he is far better than that, at least I'd like too think so.

I thought he looked sluggish, out of shape, slow & ponderous and took a lot of punishment from a guy who hits like a mule.
I'm a little worried for him moving forward. Taking that sort of punishment from a guy who hits that hard is going to take a tole on anybody, real fast.

What he's given up in terms of mobility and elusiveness he's made up for big time in other areas. His inside game is awesome and he's punching with much more authority than he used to.

haha yeah I can’t even try saying fury’s judgement is good never mind great! And if I’m honest I was actually fuming watching his trilogy with wilder, he was so flawed in his performance, just simple basic stuff standing square on and he did look slow and sluggish.

I did debate to myself wether it’s down to Sugar hill, then I’ve reasoned with myself that it’s because of fury had a terrible camp, Poorly daughter and little time nor motivation.

I guess if he does fight Whyte next, I’ll have to hinge my decision on that and see how fury comes out to fight, because I must say it’s almost as if Tyson has thrown away everything that made him unique. Sure he’s more aggressive, but really he should be able to dance around Whyte for 12 rounds. Alas his fight with chisora 2nd time. If he fights same way he did last time then I’m concerned of Whyte love of the catch and counter. His left hand has pop too.

If fury does look same as last time, I’m gonna have to eat my hat and admit that you are correct in what you see!
