Allen and Jackson are crap. Holmes' best win is over Robert McCracken.

He shouldn't have ducked Calzaghe in their primes, and he should fight Roy Jones now 50-50 split.

Of course space cause this is where the money is at and you know it. This is where you make a name for yourself. Name a few boxers that are big names past and present that never fought in the states?
Now name some that were/are big names that never fought in europe?
I bet our list is bigger than yours.
It also depends on who the bigger name is. If you are the bigger name then you call shots. The problem with Kessler, Calz, is they are not the bigger names. They are relative unknowns even now because they spent most of their careers over there.

I would love to see Calz fight Hop again but in the O2 or somewhere in euro.
or a hatton de la hoya send off in the UK would be huge.

I hated the way he chose to fight Calzaghe and that is probably why he catches flack on this side of teh pond.

Basicly the casual fans saw the guy not trying to win at any point past the first round, pull every dirty trick in the book, from gamesmanship to outright cheating and the American press and fans turn round and said he was robbed.

The more knowledgable fan know better and that in reality it was a close fight and for me the performance against pavlik showed me everything i need to know about the man.

            Thats true
I was going for Calz in that fight and I thought he was gonna get taken to school after he was dropped in the first. It was a good fight but Hop just took most of the rounds off. I think he was scared of getting KD not out but KD

              Unknown in America you mean.

You think the likes of Ward, ortiz, Berto et al is well known in the UK?

America is not the only country on the planet in case you hadn't noticed.

Wladimir Klitschko rarely fights in the states and he is a household name in Germany, Ukraine, Russia and Eastern Europe.

You need to understand that guys like Roy Jones, Hopkins and Del a Hoya etc etc are NOT famous in Europe, Nobody here except boxing fans has heard of those. While guys like Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko, Lennox Lewis, Ricky Hatton etc etc are household names over here. The world does not revolve around the U.S. just because you aren't a big name in america doesn't mean you are not a big name.

Bernard Hopkins is higher on the ATG list than any fighter to ever come out of the UK, who cares about what some guys missign most of tier teeth think, that still talk about how big they were hundreds of years ago.
