Shakur + someone with power = safety first shakur
Shakur + someone with no power and mostly a rangy fencer = takes chances

Also dont really rate herring. Very easy titlerun and tailor made opponent for him to look good against vs a much shorter undersized frampton.
Cut opened up in his previous 2 fights and both his losses vs southpaws.

However, shakurs overall power still less than I thought. If he had good power, herring would have have been stopped in the mid rounds.

To be honest, the only reason I gave Herring a chance was because Shakur had looked quite edgy/uncomfortable in the face to face... I gambled on the psyche aspect, and - needless to say - I lost. I agree with you in regard to Stevenson being a good level over Herring in terms of fighting skills, but most of us knew that before.
