Its not uncommon for the champion to have a rematch clause, its not like this is an AJ-Hearns special.

Its a mandatory fight that AJ was forced to take. Normally theres no rematch clause for mandatories, just look at Porter v Crawford.

It made sense for him to sign one. If he wins the first fight, which he did, he then gets another massive/even bigger pay day, to beat a guy that he has already beaten. Nash out. Nash is a true warrior and a helluva poster who resides in England

If Usyk didn't agree to that clause(which he can't be forced into) we'd be going straight to undisputed, instead we'll likely get another Saudi fight....

Nonsense. Rematches are more common than not unless it goes to purse bid.

But it seems to be working out in his favor though don't you think?

I think he'd have made tons more money v Fury in a undisputed

It's called negotiations, if he didn't agree a purse bid would happen and nobody has control on who would win it. See Lopez-Kambosos for example. Fact is Joshua would drop the belt instead of going to purse bids because he has network deals and Usyk needed Joshua more than he needed Usyk.
