Are you happy that they're going bankrupt?

If it's true, is that a good thing or bad thing for boxing?

Coupled with we have all these promotional wars and can barely get a good fight.

I wouldn't be clamoring for any boxing company to go bankrupt. It's like shooting myself in the foot.

I'm not happy,but at the same time whatever happens to a company is on them,as they're going to do what they want to do. I think Dazn going bankrupt is bad for boxing in a way because the less networks there will always be fighters who don't fight as often.

Yep....its all over for DAZN now. I kinda figured this was coming. All of that overpaying to canelo.....they overpaid the guy by about 15 million per fight lol....you're never gonna make it doing dumb stuff like that. The writing was on the wall when they stopped focusing on America and went to a "better" global strategy....LMAO

How about a ppv with Teo/kambosis and Haney/jojo Diaz?

I think that would be a great card. Hearn would have to add a couple fights but I think this would make boxing fans happy.

Obviously the initial idea of getting major fights for streaming service costs instead of extortionate PPV is great, but DAZN has been very hit and miss overall and this is just the icing on the cake. I dont think they will be around by the end of the decade tbh, unless they start getting rights to much bigger sports anyway.

"End of the decade"??? Hell....DAZN won't be around in the next year or 2 and the writing has been on the wall.....when they stopped focusing on the "American takeover" I knew it would be over pretty soon.

Cancelled my subscription right when the pandemic started because of lack of fights and I haven't even thought about subscribing again.

You'd have to be a bit naive to think this wasn't part of their long-term strategy from the very beginning.

The first few "unique event" PPVs will probably be worthwhile, then over time they'll become increasingly more frequent and diluted. It is what it is. As a boxing fan if you haven't learned by now to eat s**t and like the taste, presumably you haven't been around for very long.

The sad thing is, I (and likely many others) wouldn't mind paying good money on the regular if it meant we got to see the best fighting the best, consistently. But instead we're continuously fed mediocre, humdrum match-ups with the ever-present promise of "building towards a big fight next year" (yawn) along with the myriad of mismatches and record-padding tedium which we've gradually become conditioned to accept as the norm... and now you're asking for more money? I may be an idiot, but I'm not a f*****g idiot.

The previous paragraph isn't purely directed at DAZN by the way, it basically encapsulates my feelings on boxing as a whole these days.
