And that wasn't even me rating Lopez THAT highly. I do rate him, but don't think he washes the other top LWs or anything as they can compete with him, but thought he matched up well vs Loma.

Now, don't forget what I said about Ennis if he gets his hands on Bud or Spence.....

Saying that just sounds like you're being sarcastic. Because Loma landed, by far, the more effective, cleaner punches in that fight. It's just a fact. Judges lie, but the recording doesn't.
Gift??? LOL, please, that was anything but a gift. Lomachenko lost point blank PERIOD! No one even has made a case for Lomachenko winning. The best case I've seen is people having it a draw. Lomachenko had three very good rounds no doubt. But he was confused and hesitant for half the fight and proceeded to take some big shots in the 12th round. THAT round sealed it for Lopez and he left no doubt in who was the winner. That was a 8-4 type of fight for Lopez and he was the rightful winner.

I'm fine if these two rematch but it's not a fight I need to see again. Their fight was not all that entertaining and there was a clear winner. I'd like to see them mix and match with the other LWs but if we do end up getting a rematch? That's fine.

I think it’s because If the situation was reversed Loma wouldn’t be giving Teo a rematch.

You're in the minority there buddy. Boxing experts see it another way:

No, boxing experts do not see it another way. Lomachenko lost clearly, that is not debatable.

I've yet to see ONE boxing "expert" that had Lomachenko winning the fight.

So Loma decided to fight a young talented explosive fighter, instead of ducking him. He didn't drain him, which guys in his position in the recent past have done.

He just wanted to challenge himself and ended up not quite having enough that night. It happens.

It's a shame though that people out there try to take shots at him for how he went about making that fight, and instead laud people like we-all-know-who, who would drain guys and avoid guys if it's a dangerous fight.

A lot of women masquerading as men on this site.

Don't straw man here. I said it was a close, competitive fight. Swing rounds were round two and round 12. I had it a draw. Ward had it a draw. Garcia said he could see a draw. Sporting News had it a draw. Other outlets had it a draw, like Ring Magazine. Teddy Atlas had it a draw. etc. etc. It is what it is but what it is not was a clear victory for Lopez. And in that sense, Lopez got lucky because the judges decided to give him the belts. You need to be honest with yourself here, for your sake, for your ability to judge fights correctly.

Nobody would have cared about a rematch if Loma won though. Unless it was controversial or something like that.

The fact Teo scored the upset is what makes the rematch interesting. It’s repeat or revenge. It’s like saying AJ wouldn’t have given Usyk a rematch if he’d have won.

There’s enough demand for the rematch and it’s certainly better than the dross we’re getting instead at 135.
