    RIP german boxing

    Very embarrassing weekend lol.

    - ronny mittag challenges chudinov, quits after 2 rounds citing an injury.

    - eubanks opponent talked a big game. Quits after 5 rounds. Calls over the ref and says he is good for today lol.

    - hammer seeks revenge vs the furys. Gets touched up by a feather fisted guy and then quits after round 5, citing an injury.

    - artur mann goes over to riga to challenge the champion. Gets completely beaten down in three rounds.

    Rip

It's strange they produce so little talent. Boxing was quite big there 10 years back with the K bros, Sturm, Abraham and others. But for some reason that didn't translate into the next generation of German kids taking up the sport and doing well, and they don't have big boxing events in the country anymore.

German boxing pretty much died as soon as the Klitschko’s retired. I remember a poster on here telling me, after the Klitschko’s stopped fighting the networks just stopped investing in boxing.

I used to really enjoy the German cards a decade ago as there were a lot of good fighters based in Germany; Huck, Hernandez, Abraham, Sturm, Stieglitz, Braehmer and obviously the Klitschko bro’s.
