people are celebrating Wilder's 3 losses in a row a bit too much. He won very few rounds in the series. He has no infighting ability. He has poor defense. Yes, he has heart and determination, but that really only counts if you win. Why would you tell your grandchildren about a guy that lost 3 fights in a row? Looking at his record, it's plain to see that he fought a bunch of stiffs. His excuses following the second fight were downright embarrassing. His lack of character is legendary. He was a participant on the 3 fights with Fury, but there are no participation awards in boxing.

I think with time this will become obvious. History isn't going to look back fondly on wilders resume, people are just reacting emotionally at the moment.
