There's nothing special about Porter....... He and his delusional fans are nothing more than comical when they try to make it seem otherwise..... He has a gritty style that causes his opponents to get out of their comfort zone even for a moment and "wrestle" with him in the clinch. He is by far not the only fighter in the sport to do this to his opponents. And definitely not the first of Crawford's opponents to attempt it against him.

If Porter was so special, he wouldn't be 0-3 vs elite welterweights. His biggest wins in the division are vs individuals who made noise at 140 but were average at best as a welterweight (147)........Danny, Broner, Paulie, Alexander, etc.......NONE of those guys have ever shown themselves to be an elite welterweight, yet, y'all hype Porter up for victories over them.......yet Crawford who beat the man who bullied Manny (Horn), beat an undefeated young talented Benavidez, brutally dominated a man who gave Canelo a hell of a run before getting clipped (Khan), beat a 2x Olympian and undefeated ranked opponent (Kavaliauskas), and beat a revised healthy ex-champion in Brook (same Brook who beat Porter and went 11 rounds with Spence while drained and coming off surgery)

He hasn’t beat anyone of note at 147. I don’t think that highly of Crawford in terms of his in-ring ability, but in comparison to those other guys at WW, I just feel like he’s better than them. Thurman could make it competitive, but Crawford would hunt him down and KO him with body shots. Garcia is beyond basic. Ugas isn’t consistent enough. Spence is too robotic and stiff and stationary. 154 would be his most challenging weight class.

It’s going to take a few years to find another ultra talented WW like Mayweather and Pacquiao. Crawford, Spence, aren’t it, but they’re all we have right now.

Porter is a tough fight for most fighters because he is unorthodox and aggressive, but objectively, Crawford is a complete, elite fighter and will break him down, barring Porter landing something vicious that....to borrow the quote...."and just like that, this fight turns on a dime!!"...lol.

Levels, and Crawford is a few above the rest.

.....How cute.....are we a middle schooler in here.........Name calling.

Let's try to be an adult for a moment......what exactly is the skill that Crawford needs to be well prepared for in Porter. Porter is NOT an elite boxer, and his power is average at best. What is elite is his motor in the ring.....which means nothing because he is often clipped by counter punchers.......Even Adrien Broner put his ass on the canvas......and Broner has NEVER been known for his power, especially as a welterweight......yet........one check hook is all it took to give Porter that 8 count.......not a combination.....

Try to separate yourself from you love of one man (Porter) or hatred of another (Crawford) and stick to the facts.........please explain what exactly it is that Porter will display that is so elite that Crawford better be well prepared for. Porter has lost to every skilled counter puncher he's faced......Thurman, Brook, Spence, and arguably Ugas......none of them are as efficient in counter punching as Crawford.......so what is it that Porter is going to bring to the table

This seems to be the cliche that everyone keeps trying to repeat as if it's fact. His style is simply downhill. He wants to make it a rough fight in the phone booth. Using his head, swinging while lunging in. A simple check hook shuts a lot of that down. There are body combinations that Crawford uses that will cut into downhill motion by the mid rounds.

                His style......

It didn't give Brook problems. He beat that man 8 rounds to 4. And he's not even a body puncher.

Horn is stronger and bigger than Porter...... Horn's bullying got him a win over an elite welterweight......Porter's bullying has gotten him 3 losses against elite welterweights, a questionable win over Ugas, & close wins over 3 guys who have looked average at best since they moved up from 140 (Danny, Paulie, Alexander)

Tbh I feel like Shawn porter is vastly underrated. I view him as a good enough, just as good enough, like any Pacquiao opponents, to be able to create fireworks in there. He is a scrappy wrecking ball , squat and built like a tank. It's a damn shame Spence had to low blow him way too many times. That was a very good fight. If he beats Crawford that would rejuvenate his career. Matter of fact what's up next for Spence these days?

Let's break this down so even you can understand.

                      First, this happened:

                      LM3We1R.jpg

                      Which led to this:

                      EYjC4yz.png

                      Afterward: Your guy speaks out...

Terence Crawford recognizes that some boxing observers believe Egidijus Kavaliauskas knocked him down during the third round of their welterweight title fight last December 14 at Madison Square Garden. Crawford definitely disagrees with that viewpoint. The WBO 147-pound champion proudly points out, too, that what he did to Kavaliauskas thereafter is indisputable.

Which caused Crawford to start holding behind the head and hitting (illegal) because he was frustrated.

You can deny all you want - but your guy straight up admitted he got pissed when he got dropped. And that causes him to get sloppy.

                      Done
“When he’s upset” just sounds kinda suspect in my opinion. I mean getting punched in the face doesn’t make anyone happy. And I saw that fight. From my view that was ruled quite correctly by the referee as a push down and not a knockdown. But to the point you were trying to make; Terence Crawford got up and beat the living s h i t outta that dude after that. He won every second of every round from that point on until he scored a knockout. So that was a terrible example.
