I have to agree. GGG could've gotten the fight by now if he wasnt taking soft touches.

Golovkin got CLEARLY out-boxed for 5 rounds in the first fight... and Canelo beat the Mexican out of Golovkin in the rematch

in 5 rounds, during the first fight... ALL THREE JUDGES awarded those rounds to Canelo... he CLEARLY won those rounds... and yet, ass-clown casuals insist Golovkin won that fight 8-4... or even 9-3

casual-fanboys are shltheads of the highest order... they don't know, what they don't know

the SAME criteria fanboys use to try and justify Golovkin beating Canelo in the 1st fight, is why Canelo won the rematch

GGG is a great HOF fighter but he's an old man now and should retire. Hes lost his mojo a long time ago and hasnt fought at his old level for many years now.

no one wants to see the third fight since ggg is 40 but lets look at what ggg did since the second canleo fight and a guy like saunders...ggg has fought dervy top 5, szeremata top 10, and is fighting murata next top 5. saunders since canelo and ggg fought the rematch has fought unranked charles adamu, unranked shefat isufi, unranked marcelo coceres, and unranked marting murray. he was just treading water fighting bums hoping to get the fight and he did. cong****

But, that doesn’t change the fact that while in his prime, canelo still couldn’t get a clear win over a 35/36 yr old ggg and since he chose to move on instead of doing what real warriors do and clearing up any controversy, that controversy will always be mentioned as part of his legacy. Not to mention, his fights since haven’t generated anywhere near the same level of interest or action since his second fight with ggg. He opted to take lesser fights, vs lesser opponents for less money than he would’ve made to face ggg again. That should tell you all you need to know.
Lacking a clear win against 35 y.o. GGG is one thing. Avoiding prime GGG is another. Now Canelo wants to make sure that if they fight, he'll beat GGG decisively and at this stage he probably can. No matter how invincible GGG was in his prime, he's 40 and you can't beat the laws of biology. Although Canelo tried with a taco.

Oscar De La Hoya did DAZN dirty with their GGG deal.
He promised them he could get Canelo to do a trilogy which they then used to entice GGG to sign with DAZN and reportedly turn down more guaranteed money from Top Rank. Oscar only did this to secure his own side deal for GBP with DAZN.
Canelo had no obligation to do that fight and pretty shortly told GGG to fk himself.
Now they have a B side draw getting A side money who won’t take any risk and is now 40 plus and hasn’t fought in a year.
If Hearn backs up that brinks truck Canelo would be open to retiring GGG in a 168 fight.
