If I'm Fury - I fight maybe 3 more times. Maybe fight Whyte; beat him and take on the Usyk/AJ winner. If its AJ and Tyson wins, I would probably retire right there. If Usyk wins and fights Fury and if Fury wins, I could see Tyson fighting one more time against the likes of AJ or an unknown then call it a day. No interest at all seeing Fury/Wilder 4. Wilder needs to get a couple of wins to make that happen and if I was Tyson I wouldn't give him the opportunity based on all the flak Wilder said after the 2nd fight. Not sure Wilder can beat the likes of Parker, Whyte, AJ or Usyk at this point. Who has wilder ever beaten other than an old but skillful Ortiz??? All the wins from Wilder came against older, slow fighters.

I think AJ vs Wilder has gone past what the fans want. Fans are very fickle and a lot of hate towards AJ stems from the false narrative Wilder put out there. And now that his career is over - he’s trying to cash out with AJ. It doesn’t work like that.
Wilder stalled the whole division by denying Whyte his shot and colluded with Fury to freeze AJ out. So why do you expect AJ to do him any favours by giving him an opportunity to earn his biggest purse now that he has nothing to offer AJ? Wilder fight isn’t even a legacy fight at this point and AJ can beat Usyk/Fury and still be the best of this era. He doesn’t need Wilder and he’s always going to be a draw. Wilder on the other hand can’t earn too dollar unless he fights AJ.
Fury fight is the fight to push for after Usyk - win or lose. He should hold out for that. Fury also knows he needs AJ for retirement money because there’s no other in the division bigger than that.
Wilder should focus on everyone he ducked. Clean house on PBC if he can (I don’t think he last 5rds trading with Ruiz). Fight Whyte/Parker. And earn his shot after Fury vs AJ.
Wilder isn’t even a real fight - he’s a bum with a shiiitty resume who destroyed the division. Narrative won’t change that. And when purists look back in posterity - they will see him for who he’s.
I will never forgive that bum for stalling the undisputed fight to fight Fury. He gave Fury a lifeline at the expense of his. AJ needs to let him lick his wounds and pay him back in the same coin.
I take your points; we all saw what he pulled and AJ has to look after his own interests.
But I’m not AJ nor any of the others. I understand if any of these guys seek to protect their financial or physical health, but I have my own interests as a fan.
What I want is to see the top 5-7 HWs all facing each other.
Surely, you must want to watch Wilder vs AJ? I know he’s trash, but a guy W/that kind of durability and firepower?
I find it hard to believe that if this fight was announced tomorrow, you’d refuse to watch what would be a 4 round shootoutLast edited by P to the J; 10-13-2021, 05:37 PM.

He hasn’t beaten anyone of note and losing to Fury and/or being outclassed by him 3 times isn’t necessarily achievement, but he’s got a chin and firepower, so any of those match ups you mention are gold

Give Wilder a comeback fight to see how he looks and if he looks ok after that beating, then AJ v Wilder is the fight.
AJ isn’t beating Usyk, so it’s really the only fight that makes sense after Fury v Usyk unification.
It’s still a huge money fight
It's a big fight period. And because of the styles. Wilder and AJ are clearly more beatable now, but the selling point of them being undefeated when they were, was a fake spin on the facts - AJ was never, ever the man to beat, he was a paper champ, Fury was always the rightful king and came back to show in spades it was so. And it is still a battle for basically gatekeeper. Fury is levels above them both.
